Ronnie and Larry showed up a few minutes early to unpack our storage container. We had the heavier items left in the container, and they finished in less than an hour. They brought equipment with them to help with the heavy items. We had issues with our garage flooding after we moved in, and had cleared most of our container before they came. That being said, they were helpful, courteous, and respectful of our little house. I would totally use them again if needed. Thanks, Ronnie & Larry!

Hire A Helper move out review Aug 11th 2025We contacted Hire A Hepler for our move from Hood River Oregon to Taos New Mexico for a 2 bedroom one level house we were renting. In preparation for the move we prepacked 90% of the house with easy to read labels, with heavy or fragile on each box. We used many moving blankets and prewrapped many pieces of furniture and had 13 medium and large moving blankets for anything extra. We organized all the boxes in 2 locations, one in the living room and the other in the garage. We separated the boxes to make it easier for packing into the 26 foot U-haul truck. We had moved a year before using a smaller truck but wanted extra space to ensure everything could fit. The movers from Stress Free Moving and Delivery LLC arrived on time on Aug 11 2025 and we showed them all the items we wanted moved from smallest to largest items to ensure they saw everything. It was a hot day and I set up a fan in the U-haul truck to keep it as cool as possible. We had cold water and cans of cold seltzer water to ensure the movers were well hydrated. As the day progressed something seemed off as I had to mention items again that were to be moved. The truck was half full when the 2mattresses were put into the truck and I started to wonder why the larger item shad not been put into the truck. The lead mover seemed to have missed these items but said he would be putting them in next. After that we were asked for smaller items to fill in gaps but all the smaller items had already been packed. The truck was now more than ¾ packed and we were running out of room and we were informed that all our items would not fit in the truck. We had to start picking and choosing what items left would be packed in the truck and what had to be left behind. This was a huge shock to us as we had got a larger truck to take everything. A set of tires and rims for our Rav4 , office chair, several plants, our large Dehydrator, wheelbarrow, composter and dog fencing. We scrambled to find homes for these items as we had to leave the next morning, and the house had to be completely empty, or we could lose our $1850 deposit. We were able to find 2 friends to help us with these items and the movers took a couple plants. We had thought it would take 2 hours for the movers, but it was 4 hours instead. After the movers had left I went around and found several items that had been missed but I was able to add these items into our truck and some smaller items to the U-haul. Jump ahead to arriving in Taos New Mexico Aug 14 after 3 long days of traveling and over 1200 miles. I opened the back of the U-haul and many things had shifted which was to be expected even though I had added 3extra tie straps to the back before I closed the U-haul back door. We had hired 2movers to help us unload the truck the next morning at 10 am from Hire A Helper but at 9 am my wife got a text from the movers in Taos that they would not becoming. This was now on my wife and I to unload the entire truck as most of our friends in Taos were working or out of town which is why we hired the extra help. I started unloading the truck by myself while my wife tried to get more help through Hire A Helper. They were unable to find us help in a timely manner so we had our money refunded. As I started removing items from the truck I started to see why we could not get all of our possessions into the 26 ft truck. The movers had put all the boxes in first leaving a 25 % gap of the truck's space empty above the boxes. This was space hidden by the mattresses and several of our items had been damaged because of this packing. Unfortunately I could not add several pictures to show how it looked as I unpacked the truck but I have many showing the huge space and improperly packed truck. This could have been avoided and would have saved time if the movers had packed the truck property. I am not sure if inexperienced people were sent or if there was something else going on that caused them from doing a good packing job but I would not use Stress Free Moving and Delivery LLC. We had used Hire A Helper before and had a good experience but this time it was horrible and we will never consider using them again.

Ronnie and his team arrived on time and Ronnie did an outstanding job efficiently organizing and staging the contents to ensure everything fit securely in our 10x20 storage unit. Their expertise and careful handling made the process smooth and worry-free. Highly recommend!
