I hired two gentlemen from Grunts On Demand to facilitate my family's move from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom townhouse about 20 minutes apart. They (Brian & Steve) arrived on time that morning, ready to work and were very polite. They requested to see the truck that everything was going into first, so I showed it to them before they got started with moving. My family was on site to help as well and we had already started filling the back of the truck with boxes. They got right to work moving the heavy items downstairs to the truck. We ran into a bit of a logjam because the service elevator in the apartment building we lived in was unavailable, so they had to take items down in the regular elevator. This costed us some time, but they were still very efficient. I provided furniture blankets and they made sure to cover everything up in safe fashion as they loaded the truck.
One thing that I really appreciated was the fact that Brian took the time to explain how he & Steve were going to pack the truck to ensure that the space would be used most efficiently and that all the items would be safe in transit. The way they created wall after wall in the truck was something I had never seen before and I was extremely impressed. They showed that they were true professionals and knew what they were doing.
After they finished loading the truck, I drove it to the new location where they began unloading right away. My family insisted on helping move boxes into the property to help and save time, and both gentlemen respectfully welcomed that. I made sure that they remained hydrated throughout the day and we even provided them with sandwiches to keep their strength up. They were both very diligent in getting everything into the townhouse, including an extremely heavy deep freezer that had to go downstairs and a massive crib for my son that had to go up a flight of stairs. They essentially had to take it apart to move it upstairs and in addition, they had to take the door off of the room the crib went into. This demonstrated to me that they were determined to get the furniture to where it needed to go. It did take some extra time, but they were successful in re-assembling the crib once it was inside the room.
Because of unexpected circumstances regarding time, I was able to discuss a reasonable additional cost for their time and services on top of the base price I paid online though Hire A Helper. This was something else I truly appreciated, because it showed that they value customer satisfaction.
All in all, the job that Brian and Steve did was excellent. I would not only use Grunts On Demand again, but I would also recommend them to anyone in the Delaware Valley who is moving. You can rest assured that your items will arrive at your new location in tact, and that the service will be exemplary. The people of Grunts On Demand are hard workers......you will be well taken care of!

They were great! Very nice and very professional. Also very quick! They took great pride in their work and made sure to let us know how the truck was being packed in a way to ensure nothing would move around and get damaged. They were right!

Angelo and Kevin were awesome. Showed up early and got straight to work. Didn't play around. All items loaded and moved quickly and efficiently. No damaged items. Both were friendly and respectful. I WILL recommend them to family and friends. Wish I had known about grunts the last time I moved!!!

Brian and Angelo arrived early, they had to wait for me.
My job required them to move appliances and boxes to a truck, and then remove heavy cement chunks from the basement. They did the job quickly, and without incident.

If I could give them 6 starts I would. I used Grunts On Demand to move my daughter out of her apt in Philly. I needed a morning move over Labor Day weekend. Brian really tried to work within my schedule. He came on time. They were prepared. Worked efficiently and non stop until the job was done. He and Angelo were pleasant and respectful. They did an excellent job! I plan to use them again without hesitation. Thanks Brian and Angelo for a job well done!

They were fantastic. Could not have asked for 2 better guys to move me. They packed the truck so efficiently that not one thing shifted on the drive to the new home. Nothing broke and they swept out the rental truck for me! Highly recommend Grunts on Demand.

This is the second time I have hired Grunts on demand. Brian and him men do an outstanding job. They were on time and did the job efficiently, which was impressive because the service elevator they were supposed to have access to was not working. They also unloaded everything at my destination and did a great job arranging things that needed to be stacked and stored away. Very professional. I DEFINITELY recommend.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We will call you 24 hours before your scheduled move date to reconfirm your scheduled start time. On the day of your move, we will call or text message you with the exact ETA. Once arrived our uniformed trained professionals will greet you and request a walkthrough. At this time you can point out to the team the items that are going and the items that are not going.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Prior to moving day, have all boxes labeled and inventoried. Make sure all walkways are clear of all items and secure all household pets
What types of moves have you handled?
As a third-generation moving company, We have handled every type of move possible such as very large estate moves, large and small commercial moves along with unique item moves. You name it, we have done it.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part of being a mover is meeting the customers. It's interesting meeting people from all over, some that become lifelong friends. I also like to problem solve and moving can be complicated. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I can ease the tensions of the clients with a seamless move.
What training do you provide your crew members?
I train my crew members by teaching them the proper techniques of lifting and how to properly handle furniture along with common sense. Moving is not about how strong you are. Knowing what to do before you even do it, is what makes a great mover
