The kids showed up on time and only took one short break the entire day. They worked steady and never complained, had a good sense of humor. Unfortunatly theu were NOT professional movers. Nice strong guys but not professionals. Due to this fact many furniture pieces were and still are damaged or broken. It was a tough job, tight quarters up two flights of stairs and this was why we hired movers. A chest of drawers was inadvertently carried to the 3 rd floor and when it was moved back downstairs they broke the drawer separator. our cherry bedroom set has gouges and paint all over it from the walls taking a beating. Even the light end tables have paint on the edges. The bedroom set is truly ruined. 3 weeks in and we have to repair alot of walls still. it wasnt inexpensive enough to overlook all the damage.. we re disappointed.

I would recommend the these two helpers. They were hard workers, very polite and respectful of my property. They were a little late but called twice to update me. Again, definitely recommend them!

The helpers called to let me know they were coming and came on time. They worked fast and very hard. I don't know how they did it. I'd highly recommend them to anyone and hope they're highly respected by Halkus, Inc. because they reflect very well on the company.

I was very happy with Halkus and would hire them again.
The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because they were an hour late. This was not a big issue for me, and they phoned ahead of time to let me know the situation.
They were well-prepared for the job and even brought along an extra worker (who was needed for the next job) without charging me extra.
They worked hard and were very careful with our property and goods.

Overall, they did a great job and worked really hard for the full two hours that I had hired them for. They were a little late on their arrival (which wasn't their fault) but made up for it by bringing an additional worker and didn't charge me extra. They were very respectful of the belongings that I instructed them to be careful with. I would definitely recommend them to others and I would hire them again.

The guys were very nice but came unprepared. I've used hire-a-helper before and the men and with Dolly's and hand trucks, even plastic wrap and furniture pads. These guys came in a car with nothing? Even though the company profile said they had equipment. Again, they were extremely nice and respectful/courteous- just make sure you ask them to bring whatever you may need.

They arrived early, worked hard from the beginning. They understood how to pack efficiently, using all the space available. They were thorough in planning the move, had the equipment necessary to do the job, moved furniture and boxes effectively. We would use them again!

I hired 2 movers for 2 hours. They called me when they arrived,and made sure to keep me updated. I was actually across the country when they arrived, and my roommate was the one who let them in. So the updates had to be via cell phone,but it ended up easier than i thought.
I had asked them to bring a mattress cover for my King bed, and they did, which was awesome! They worked hard and did a great job. If I ever have to be in Rhode Island again, I would hire them again!
