I've had previous friends who have used Hire Helper and they have absolutely loved it for moving homes.
Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite.
It was the worst, most horrible experience I have ever had. I hired the "professional mover" for 4 hours, who was joining three other family adult men who have experience moving furniture, Etc. The minute your mover pulled up to my home, I was standing in the driveway, he looked at the partly filled U-Haul truck and stated this is going to take way too long and I have another job after this one. He then told my son-in-law, Leo, 15 minutes later, that he is moving a little slower because he will not be going with us to the new address to help us unload, therefore, he needs to stretch out his time. The "professional mover" then told my son, Adam, that, "if he had other professional movers here he wouldn't be so tired and overworked." He complained the entire day. Stated he's been in this business for 27 years and can't believe he has to go up 2 flights of stairs on a hot summer day in florida. Stated he was thinking about moving up north so he didn't have to deal with the summer days anymore. At one point in my home he said he was going to throw up bc he was too hot. To which I directed him to my bathroom, however, he did not needed to use it. Within 30 minutes of arriving at my home he was completely drenched in sweat, a beet red face, and having to take multiple breaks. I understand it is a hot summer day, however, I have an "professional mover," who is at least 70 lbs overweight, and wearing crocs for shoes to help move a house of furniture. I had no boxes to be loaded only furniture. He was immediately overwhelmed, with a very sour attitude. He was passively aggressive in making snide remarks in front of me about being cheap and not hiring more professional movers.
To top it completely off and to make it even worse.. he had me sign his email for his hours worked, and when I looked back at it I had signed for 4 hours worked.
He arrived at my home at 10:05 a.m.. he left the same address at 1:13 p.m.
I would like a refund of an hour's worth of work at minimum. Especially considering that my son-in-law Leo my nephew, and my son Adam did a majority of bringing the furniture out to the driveway.....only to sit it down, then have him direct my family members on what to load next on to the truck. While he just directed traffic.

So the folks at A-plus were prompt and friendly and did a good job. On the other hand, my review for Hire a Helper, and especially a manager named Josh is TERRIBLE. I would never recommend anyone use Hire a Helper. I am sorry this review does not reflect on John and John from A-plus. I would hire them directly if the need arose but would never use Hire a Helper again. Josh, who is supposed to be a manager twisted my words, accused me of lying and was disrespectful and demeaning. Will leave further reviews on social media describing how terrible the agency is.

The 2 helpers - John and John did a great job helping unload my moving truck and removing some old furniture out of the house. I would highly recommend them.
