I typically don't write reviews but feel very compelled to share my negative experience with these movers. Although they showed up around the promised time, they did not provide quality service. They were incredibly slow, dropped a few items and I had to constantly delegate them [move boxes from point A to point B, isn't that obvious?]. For the amount that they charge, they should've been hustling and "running the show." At one point I found them upstairs, perched on my mantle eating while my boyfriend and I were loading their truck- SERIOUSLY? They also insisted I pay their $150 parking ticket, they should've known better than to illegally park in Manhattan. I would strongly recommend saving yourself the expense and headache.

They called to confirm within minutes after the order was placed, and again the day before; and arrived on time and prepared with supplies and equipment. They skillfully moved 2 very challenging pieces of furniture with great care, along with the other items. They worked steadily without wasting time. I would use them again, without question.

Expensive, beware! I hired them to unpack my small Uhaul. Because I had two pieces of wood furniture they brought along three extra guys in addition to the two I requested on Hire a Helper. They took just over an hour to unload the truck (with several cigarette breaks). I had paid for 3 hours. However, because of the extra guys they brought, they demanded an extra $225 on top of what I had already paid!

at first everything was ok until i found out they as i disclosed to them on the phone with the movers that he would not be driving and needed him to do so as he agreed.he said when he got there he did have anyone drive and that i would have to fill up his own personal car to get him to the job site. i found that to be bs. if im paying u 750.00 why can u not fill up ur own tank. next i saw my property break. the boss of the job said he would talk care of it and replace it but never did. so when we got to the drop off location i noticed my brand new marble kitchen table had a few chips in it, my other lamp that goes in my sons room was then found to have two dents in it, my daughters dresser had a huge hole ripped out of the back of it. after all was said and done with the job i thought still he would deduct something from the total for all of the damage he and his crew had made and never did. he pulled my boyfriend aside and pushed for the payment with out talking to me and i was the customer. he should have talked to me. and if he did he would of found out that i spoke to hireahelper.com and was informed to try to make some kind of arrangement as far as the broken items if not then do not release the money to them and that exactly what i would of done but like i said he had pushed my boyfriend to pay before the job was even done. just so it is clear i am beyond pissed with there service and would never hire them again and hope no one ever does. NEVER EVER HIRE THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL DESTROY YOUR BELONGING!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall, we were extremely pleased with their performance and courtesy. Everything was moved in a timely manner, and due to their care in loading/packing/unloading all of our personal items, nothing was damaged and no one got hurt. It was a great moving experience, and I would certainly recommend Are We There Yet Movers to anyone in the future.

Mikal and his team were such a great help to us during a very hectic move out of our home.
