J and company were excellent! They took the time before the began the job to see the layout of the house and from there decided how and when to unload the POD. He and his workers communcated with one another when moving the larger furniture (up the staircase) and I felt completely at ease knowing they were treating my things special and as if it were their own. They will be back tomorrow for “round two” (the second POD) and I am at ease knowing the same company will be finishing my move with the same care and consideration as they provided the first time. A for Effort, C for Execution. Costs were double what was quoted as it took twice as much time (8 hrs vs 4 hrs) to pack everything. Had used multiple online sources to determine moving needs but they were way off. Discussed w/owners who understood how it occurred & will ensure won't happen to other clients.
Moved same week Hurricane Irma hit Atlanta causing movers to be late, but gratefully they still came. The guys - Ira, Albert, Brandon, Jason - worked tirelessly, were professional, & courteous. Problem was that we needed more than a 26' truck, 16' pod, & 6x8 UHaul for our 4 bed home. They did their best to make everything fit but it was haphazard. Nearly every piece of furniture & appliance had a new scratch or two because things had to be crammed in. I recommend them as I believe it wasn't all on them.

They were about 20 minutes late but Jay called to let me know and that was fine. Both him and Ira(i believe was his name) shook mine and my husband hands and introduced themselves to us which impressed me in the beginning, people just aren’t formal or polite these days. They immediately got to work and unloaded my entire house in 2 hours. Both men were careful with our antiques and all of our furniture and boxes. I loved these guys and will use them again. I highly recommend J&L and you will do yourself an injustice if you use any other moving company!!!!
