The crew was very nice and personable also very hard working, however they need to handle furniture more delicately and be aware of walls/structures when moving. When bringing furniture down from the upstairs they put 3 gouges in my walls along the stair way. What was so disappointing is I have a dining room set that has never had a scratch on it. It's a table with 8 chairs that I've had for over 10 yrs. however the crew damaged 4 of the chairs and the damage doesn't seem repairable. Also 2 of the bedpost are damaged and a chest that a family member had made for me.

I hired J&L Movers through HireAHelper to load a trailer for an out-of-state move. Brenda with J&L Moving explained everything in detail prior to the load date.
They showed up on schedule and even gave me a courtesy call beforehand to let me know when they would be arriving. These gentlemen worked for 4 hours straight without a break. They were very professional, knowledgeable and well prepared with all of the necessary equipment.
Moving can be an anxiety provoking experience but with J&L Movers the experience was excellent.

I chose this company because it was highly rated but on the more expensive side. 4 men showed up for the job but I had a few areas where I was unhappy. Good items: They brought their own hand carts and dollys and lifting straps. The bad: The arrival time, as scheduled with the company operator, was 9:00 a.m. with a window of 9am - 10am and they showed up at 10:15 a.m. on a Saturday (no traffic issues). They damaged two of my wall's dry wall. They were minor breaks in the dry wall but they will need to be repaired and repainted. They pointed one out to me and said "Yeah, the boss did it but you can fix it with a simple patch kit." which while true, left me dissatisfied with their professionalism and added unnecessary cost to the move. 3 of their team members worked really hard while the 4th always seemed to be standing around and waiting for direction, not willing to lift, stack, or move items without clear direction and authority from the lead/boss. I will go with a more professional and qualified company in the future.
Thanks for your honest review. I'm very sorry that your experience was less than excellent. We are able to repair and repaint any damages that we cause and take full responsibility. I will talk with the worker that told you this. You should have been immediately referred to customer service for resolve. And I agree, we should have been able to arrive within the window.
