Used hardly any of the five dozen moving blankets I rented from Penske when loading truck resulting in furniture damage.
We sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced. The shortfall in the number of movers and the inadequate use of moving blankets, resulting in furniture damage, are not in line with our standards. We understand the importance of delivering the service as promised and ensuring the safety of your belongings.
Please know that we are no longer under the management of Zach, and we are actively working on improving our services, including ensuring proper staffing and training our team in the optimal use of moving materials to prevent damage.

I’m giving 4 stars because Tyrell and Courtney were great when they came as backup when the first 2 crews didn’t show. If it weren’t for them and how nice and courteous they were, this would be a lower review.
We had scheduled for them to show up between 11am and 12 noon. The night before we got a call from someone asking if it could be moved to 9am so they could get in another job. Even though that wasn’t ideal for us, we agreed. Then nobody showed up. We waited until close to 12 noon and called. Zach, the scheduler, said he didn’t recognize the # that the person called from. The helpers scheduled at 11am had an emergency and didn’t show up. Zach found a backup (Tyrell and Courtney) and they finally arrived around 3:30pm. They were both very nice and took care with our items. Both were very friendly and were willing to deal with our bad packing. We were grateful for their help.

We received email confirmation of our order for two helpers for four hours that were to arrive between 9:00 and 10:00 today. At 10:00 I called and texted the local numbers given asking when they were coming. Received an email that they were to arrive soon (although it looked like an automated email, not a real person). At 11:00 I called and texted every available number that we were given in the emails. No response was received. When we received the invoice later in the day, we reached out to the main company 800 number and finally got a response. The response was the local company had not been informed that none of their crew had arrived. So the excuse is that we did not manage their business for them. It is the company management’s job to ensure that people arrive for jobs, not mine to comb through all the emails looking for the right contact to tell them. Once I got a return call from the corporate 800 #, I was refunded my payment for the helpers. However, that does not cover the lost day waiting on help and the added cost of hiring another company on an emergency weekend basis to help. Since my POD is being picked up Monday morning, we have to finish the loading over this weekend.

They were amazing at getting all our big items in the truck. Made sure to ask questions about items.

Customers can expect a call within 24 hours to make sure all details of the move are squared away.

Our movers will give you a call when they are on the way, bring professional equipment, and stay with you till your move is complete.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Customers can best prepare for moving day by making sure as much packing is done as possible. Packing really takes up the most time on a move and if everything is boxed and ready to go, you can really save yourself a lot of time.

What training do you provide your crew members?
All crew members must go through the Movers and Helpers training Program. This program takes 3 months to complete. This is why Movers and Helpers has the best labor only moving service in all of southern Louisiana. Our Reviews speak for themselves.
