Scheduled for 10 am. Was texted that rain was causing a delay until 12pm. Didn’t show until after 1 pm at which point I was almost done unloading myself. Called about 3 times no answer waiting on a crew. Workers showed up and said they were last minute call. They were nice. They only worked about 35-40 minutes but not their fault. Paid for 2 hours about $345 for 40 minutes. Not cool.

They worked quickly and were respectful but were 4 hours late. They said the original guys bailed. Seemed like this was their first time loading a truck. Looks like we’ll have to do some rearranging. They didn’t bring any supplies but seemed to do ok without a dolly.

When the initial moving team called in sick, I initially had some difficulty contacting the company and arranging backup movers. The team that eventually arrived worked hard, and got the job done despite one less mover showing up than the initial contract.

Did not show up on time,did not call after several attempts of contacting phone answered and I was told crew was sick and they were sending someone else another hour passed no one showed up called again this time was told car trouble after that I told him to forget it ,it was late and they were to show up the next day this time they were to show up at 11 o’clock at 12 o’clock I was called and told they were leaving Baton Rouge which is an hour away from my home and would be there shortly at this time my helpers with the truck were not available and they were told to come later again time was set up at 6 o’clock they did not arrive till 730 and at that time one of the movers went into the bathroom and stayed for a good 5-10 minutes after getting the things loaded and brought to my residence again mover went directly to the bathroom and stayed another five minutes both helpers were very unprofessional would not recommend your service to anyone and regret using your company

My appt was scheduled for 11am, but they did not arrive til 2:30. What should have been a 2 hour job turned into 3. Items were damaged. Loading was not efficient & space in the vehicle was not utilized effectively requiring many items to remain unloaded & another vehicle to be rented again at a later date.

The helpers showed up two hours late. The appointment was supposed to be between 9-10am arrival time, but they arrived at almost 11:30am. They called multiple times en route with several excuses as to why they were late, while saying they were not far from my house. When they arrived, they smelled like marijuana and did not properly load my POD. Nothing was tied down with ropes or straps, and they did not make good use of the space in the POD with the way they stacked the items. I will not be using this service again in the future.

Customers can best prepare for moving day by making sure as much packing is done as possible. Packing really takes up the most time on a move and if everything is boxed and ready to go, you can really save yourself a lot of time.

What training do you provide your crew members?
All crew members must go through the Movers and Helpers training Program. This program takes 3 months to complete. This is why Movers and Helpers has the best labor only moving service in all of southern Louisiana. Our Reviews speak for themselves.
