The movers showed up an hour late because the proper cell phone number was not recorded. Once finally receiving the movers, they did not bring shrink wrap to cover the furniture which resulted in another hour and a half trip to Home Depot. By this point we had moved all boxes to the curb next to the POD and it still took them three hours to wrap and move minimal furniture then load the POD.
All said and done they only made me pay for the hours I originally requested, however I would not choose this company again based on the sheer hassle.

The 2 gentlemen worked tirelessly packing the pod. I had hired them for 2 hours, but had to extend 1.5 hours because of the stuff I had to pack.
Hopefully everything will arrive safely at my final destination. I would recommend this company for any of your moves.

I was very very pleased with the crew David brought over - George and Jimmy were awesome! They came on time, and were well prepared. They were both very polite (didn't once complain about all my stuff!!), very nice and extremely conscientious and hard working. I'm very grateful to them for helping me, as I have limited ability to handle a move with the unstable and painful back that I have. Both men were strong yet gentle and were able to do a top notch job in helping pack my things with care, filling and organizing my rental Pod ... If I'd needed it, they could have filled the entire thing in one day! I ran out of steam though, and are getting them again later this week. I'm glad I used their services! Thanks guys!! ??

These gentlemen were wonderful movers. I hired them to unload a moving truck into a house and to set up the beds. They made sure to stack boxes in the correct room. They took the time to move any items they unloaded to keep pathways in the house clear. They were very professional and courteous.

I asked Family Movers to arrive at 8. They arrived at 9:40 but did call about 30 minutes prior to their arrival to say they were running late. One of the men who showed up appeared to be a newcomer to moving but seemed to work hard. Another man dropped our TV on the lift gate and broke it. My husband saw him drop items off a hand truck as he went backwards down the front steps. They turned our teak coffee table upright which made the inlay fall out and break. We asked them to move the heavy furniture first then the boxes in the basement. They felt the waterbed mattress and upright antique piano were too difficult to maneuver so they called the owner who drove back from New Jersey to help in the evening. Family Movers was obviously overworked. They had moved a family the day before and were scheduled to move someone the next day at 7:30. We tried to get them to take a lunch break but they wanted to fully load and unload the truck first. The owner agreed that they should have moved the heaviest furniture first when they weren't as tired. He arrived at 9:15 and took them out to dinner. They returned at 10:35. The owner knows what he's doing and was good at getting the others to work harder. He had my husband drive the truck right up to the front porch so they could load the piano directly onto the truck on our dollies without having to go down the stairs. My husband helped all 5 men unload the piano and take it into our house on the main level. Unfortunately, they damaged the door frame and molding because of the weight and manageability. Paint got on the piano and my dresser. I've been told to buy spray 9 to get the paint off the furniture. They stacked heavy items on top of fragile items and placed most of the boxes one right after the other so there was no room to maneuver among or between the boxes in our storage room. Because they were over-tired and moved slowly, it took 14 hours instead of 8 to move. It would have helped if the truck had a ramp instead of a lift gate but we had no control over that. The lift gate made packing and unloading slower. Several items were damaged or broken but Hire A Helper worked with us to reasonably reimburse our losses. We're pleased to be in the unloading, cleaning, and setting up house phase of the move. I think Family Movers can do a good job, especially if the owner works the move himself. We hope this is our last move for a long time.

Their mode of transportation broke down that morning, therefore they were four hours late and didn't have the tools to effectively move my belongings, i.e. Hand truck. However they worked very hard to get all my property into the POD in the specified time allotted. The owner apologized for the lateness and it worked out in the end.
