Our movers were scheduled to arrive between 12 and 1, at 11:50 I got a call that the crew had been delayed and if it was OK if they were late. I said of course. The gentleman said it would be around 2:00. The guys did not show up until 4:30 with no updated phone calls. They came friendly and ready to work, so I was OK with it. The three guys worked hard and quick. The problems began when our beds needed to be put back together. One of the workers mentioned they had no tools except a regular screw driver. I am pretty sure it is standard to put a bed frame together for movers unloading. At about 2 hours in, it was obvious the guys were tired. My bedroom furniture is large, but they got it up OK (as the one guy was STILL trying to screw in my bed frame). Then the crew leader stopped speaking and being friendly. He and another kid (who was nice, but seemed new) could not get a sofa in the basement (and gouged the wall in the process and took down a light fixture and never put it back up) . He looked so frustrated that I said not to worry about it and to leave the sofa upstairs. Then with everything moved in (all boxes just went to the garage), I went to my bedroom where two of the guys were still trying to get my bed together. It is not a hard bed to assemble, they just needed a drill or electric screw driver as they were doing it by hand. The crew leader was visibly upset and said, "You know, we are not supposed to do this. Usually it's an extra charge. I have been working since 5 a.m., I am tired, and its my daughters birthday." This really upset me, as it was not my fault he was working since 5 a.m. and that they showed up four hours late. They also had about 15 minutes left of the three hours I requested. I called their boss and left a message explaining how I was upset and asked him to call me back. It has been 2 days and no return call. I wish I could leave a good review, as the guys really did work hard (especially Louis), but their exhaustion and the fact they were unprepared without appropriate tools, was not my fault. On top of what I paid, I still tipped them heavily as they did work hard. Obviously some schedule/over schedule issues need to be resolved and it should be made aware that putting beds back together is an extra charge BEFORE the move. I had moved from out of state with two children and extreme stress and this unloading just impacted an already tough situation.

Nice guys but lots of profanity and they acted like moving our stuff was soooo hard...If your job is a mover, then you should just do it, not complain the whole time. They did get the job done though.
