We recently had the pleasure of working with Mel and Norman for our move. They arrived promptly, which would have been ideal had we not encountered delays with our truck rental — we faced unexpected delays due to a downgrade in our truck rental. Despite this setback, Mel and Norman adapted swiftly, optimizing the limited space and ensuring everything fit securely. Their expertise was evident as they navigated the narrow back stairs of our apartment with ease. Throughout the process, they maintained a professional demeanor, were courteous, and ensured all our valuable furniture was securely wrapped. The only minor issue was a slight nick on our dresser, only slightly noticeable. Overall, we were impressed with their service and would recommend them to others.

This was by far the absolute worst moving experience I have ever had.
Firstly, it was very apparent upon their arrival that these people were not vetted prior to sending them out. When they arrived, they smelled so bad as if they hadn’t showered in a week and had on dirty clothing. The odor filled the elevator and our apartment. I am aware that you don’t wear a suit to this type of work and it can get a little dirty but you certainly shouldn’t smell like a homeless person. They were also very clearly unsuited to do the job. Ive worked with movers many times and these are not the type of people able to handle a job of this type. I was truly shocked.
Secondly, they didn’t bring ANY moving equipment with them. No dollies, straps, bungee cords, tape etc. What kind of “professional” mover doesn’t bring moving equipment to a move?
Lastly, the movers were ridiculously slow. I was assured, over the phone, that 2 men could handle a two bedroom apartment in 3 hrs with no problems. I’m not certain if it was that they couldn’t handle the physicality of the job or that they knew they would make a lot of extra money if they didn’t finish on time, but it literally took them 7 hours to complete the move. It would have taken at least 2 hours longer than that if my husband wouldn’t have literally helped move half of the items out of the apartment. Now as someone who HIRED movers to do a job the expectation is that you shouldn’t have to lift a finger which was clearly not the case here. There was absolutely no urgency even though we repeatedly said that they needed to move faster as we only had the pod for a limited amount of hours and also didn’t want to pay for extra hours. These requests to move faster fell on deaf ears and they didn’t seem to care that the person that hired them was doing most of the heavily lifting. And as you can probably guess we were charged about twice what we were quoted.
The movers and the company that contracted them out should be embarrassed to call themselves professionals. I will shout it from every platform that I have to not work with this company. Absolutely disgraceful.

Meeting new people and seeing new places. For me it just never gets old.
