Unfortunately, They were not on time. However, I’m not going to hold it against them because they were prepared for the job, they worked very hard, and did not break a thing- even working in the rain. I would recommend the company and would use they again. The only thing I wish would have happened that didn’t was regular updates of ETA after the window of arrival time ended. Instead, I called for updates.
Arrived on time and were prepared to work hard lifting our many heavy items and furniture from POD. They were very careful with items and also with the walls/doors of our brand new home. We would use them again, but we hope not to move again as this was big move for us.
On time, very careful with all our belongings, polite, and respectful to all our questions and concerns. Would definitely recommend them!!
The beginning of the four hour contract was excellent. The movers were moving quickly and efficiently. About an hour and a half into the job, they began taking numerous breaks and slowed down their pace. The end of the four hours was upcoming and they were not even finished with loading the Uhaul. We had a 3 bedroom townhome and previously spoke with the owner regarding the appropriate amount of time. The Uhaul was picked absolutely terribly. They did not use any types of blankets for our furniture, as indicated would be provided. Our desk was broken, there were foot prints all over our couch. Furthermore, the team refused to come to our new home and unload (which is what we contracted for) and left prior to the 4 hour mark. The owner never apologized about any of the issues, even after being advised that one of their workers left their garbage, Firehouse Sub box in our Uhaul. Would not recommend AT ALL! We had to hire ANOTHER moving company to unload our Uhaul after the owner refused to rectify the situation.
This was a hardworking crew! They were running a little late, but they were very courteous by calling me to keep me informed. I appreciate that immensely. They worked hard to get us all moved out, seeming to never take breaks! They were professional and respectful of all items. They were not afraid to ask questions to make sure the proper items were packed and protected. I look forward to using them again soon when we are ready to unload the storage container. I would say - have some tools on hand at your house just in case (screwdriver/drill, Allen wrench).
The team did a great job despite the heat. Would recommend using them. My only suggestion is that the teams come prepared with items to help with the move (dollies, hand trucks, etc).

These guys were great. They were flexible on arrival time with an adjustment on less than 24 hours notice. I wouldn't recommend trying to do that... I didn't realize PODS recommends having help come the day after drop off... When they came, they were polite, hard working, and committed to getting the job done. They wanted to make sure every single thing that needed to be moved was moved. I couldn't have been happier. They were careful, quick and effective. I would absolutely use them again if needed (hope I'm not moving again any time soon because moving is less than fun!). Great all around.... really above and beyond what I ever expected. Our rating of the Affordable Moving labor helpers is acceptable. They arrived on time, were prepared, and worked hard the ninety minutes they were on site. The two workers were respectful of us as persons and of the property. We would likely use these two particular individuals but with closer supervision. They initially loaded the six heaviest pieces of furniture wall to wall with boxes floor to ceiling. From tips provided by the the POD delivery person and their online instructions, I don’t believe a supervisor would agree the workers followed the loading tips on Distributing weight Distribution uniformly front and back. I shared my concern about the weight distribution with the senior helper, and he immediately made Some changes. At the same time, and I may be wrong about this, but I wondered if the helpers had less practice in loading according to the PODS guidelines than in applying a routine they were more familiar with. It’s clear the owner has more to do to achieve something more like a load under PODS weight distribution suggestions. Our primary complaint is with the owner’s no refund for unused time. Due in part to the customers’ effort-and the helpers clear enthusiasm and undisputed effort—the helpers finished a proposed three-hour project in under half that time. The workers seemed satisfied with the way the load was packed. They had not loaded a desk with other office furniture but did so when prompted. A step stool is still on the front porch. Perhaps we weren’t clear about loading that item. The helpers let us know they were going next to Ashley Heights and departed. Shane rejected any refund of unused time. He would not consider our ineptness in estimating how long such a project might take, though in part surely that skill is part of the expertise we were paying for. Hire a helper offered $50, not the billed $80. In view of these complaints, conditions, and actions, I ask for a refund of 2/3 of the amount, less than the time spent. Finally, we provided the helpers a sanitized work place. Neither worker handling our furniture wore gloves. One accepted a face covering.

Each request the customer has will be met. Every want and need of the customer will be reached. The customer can also expect their belongings to be safely packed, unpacked, etc.
A customer can expect a PROMPT arrival. The team arriving is already filled in on the details of the job request so the customer can feel at ease and stress free. The entire experience of moving day for the customer will exceed their expectations tremendously because of our professionalism and diligence.
A customer should prepare for moving day to however they see fit. I strongly suggest moving boxes and wrapping, especially if you would like us to pack the house for you. I also suggest moving blankets to protect your valued belongings as it is packed into a truck, container, etc. Each crew has hand trucks and tools to further assist throughout the job.

My favorite part about being a mover is being able to travel to different places, meeting new people, and to also challenge myself because every move is different.
I personally hands-on train every crew member. Every crew member goes through a full month of training to ensure they can do every job to the best of their ability. Each crew member is trained to reach my personal standards of a professional mover.
