The movers were quick, strong, and very polite! Shane the manager was very flexible when my storage unit wasn’t delivered on time because of bad weather and rescheduled me for the next day. Highly recommend!

Outstanding and professionally completed
The workers came out prepared and within the window they were supposed to arrive. When they worked, they did work diligently when asked to do so. However, I scheduled for 2 hours of work and then asked over the phone IF they stayed a 3rd and beyond. When my bill came, I was billed for 3 hours. Then, while the workers worked, after and hour and a half they asked on multiple occasions if they were needed and further. After 2 hours, after asking again and again, I sent the workers away after saying they confirmed the remaining hour could be worked out. When I called HireAHelper, I was sent to billing which was a dead end with no answer. Later on in the day I was contacted again and was then told company policy about an agreement of being billed what I originally signed up for (which was 3 hours instead of 2 simply because I asked about it). Im irate about this- I understand what “company policy” might say, but this company overcharged for something and then its workers asked to leave multiple times and then it could be worked out with the HireAHelper office. And despite this being company policy, HireAHelper is electing to take the hour of work when a simple refund of the work not provided would be a simple solution. In retrospect I should’ve called about this earlier had I realized this “policy” and also would’ve called earlier while the workers asked for a 10th time to leave early before I sent them on their way. However, they also told me they would not leave until I sent the confirmation text completing the work and being billed. I think the 2 men that showed did a fine job when working, but combined their asking to leave early on multiple occasions and the lack of customer care and discipline provided by the office staff, I’m underwhelmed by HireAHelper as a service. Unfortunately, this led to me hiring another local outside company to finish the job later that day who I should’ve went with from the start (which they did on the same day with 2 hours notice, was far more attentive, told me up front what I specifically paying for, and did twice the work in the same amount of time while also hauling away belongings I wanted thrown away or donated for half the price). I’m taking these issues straight to PODS and am pleading with them not to allow their services be tied to this any further.

These guys, Adam & T, packed the truck well but the service and quality of service just didn't live up to my expectations. T was the most helpful and provided adequate service. Adam, arrived smelling of pot and had bloodshot eyes, not a good first impression. Perhaps a bad apple but I wouldn't take the risk. They both arrived with no semblance of a uniform (yes, other companies do) and it seemed they had just rolled out of bed..raggedy clothes, no enthusiasm, lack of motivation. When moving something down the stairs, they put a gouge in the stair wall and when asked about it, Adam acted like he had no idea about it and offered no apology..he just walked away. Two of the feet had to be removed from one couch and now they're not in the truck. A metal ladder was placed against a dark wood table with no padding btwn them and the table now has an area where the ladder scraped it during the 12hr drive. They waited until the truck was packed full to tell me that two TVs were not going to fit. They said TVs are put between two mattresses and since I had only one mattress, they won't fit. They learned there was only one mattress from the walk-through, during the first 5 minutes. I would avoid these guys if possible.
I had minimal possessions, and the work was completed in less than an hour. They did a great job.

Each customer can expect a stress free and easy move. Whether it’s a load, unload, rearranging of furniture, etc., it will be the BEST experience the customer will have. Each request the customer has will be met. Every want and need of the customer will be reached. The customer can also expect their belongings to be safely packed, unpacked, etc.
A customer can expect a PROMPT arrival. The team arriving is already filled in on the details of the job request so the customer can feel at ease and stress free. The entire experience of moving day for the customer will exceed their expectations tremendously because of our professionalism and diligence.
A customer should prepare for moving day to however they see fit. I strongly suggest moving boxes and wrapping, especially if you would like us to pack the house for you. I also suggest moving blankets to protect your valued belongings as it is packed into a truck, container, etc. Each crew has hand trucks and tools to further assist throughout the job.
Affordable Moving has handled every type of move you could think of. We have handled warehouses, cross country moving, local moves, office buildings, libraries, even military moves(including on base).
My favorite part about being a mover is being able to travel to different places, meeting new people, and to also challenge myself because every move is different.
I personally hands-on train every crew member. Every crew member goes through a full month of training to ensure they can do every job to the best of their ability. Each crew member is trained to reach my personal standards of a professional mover.
We charge an extra 10% for same day requests.
We accept next day requests at our normal rates.
We do not refund for any unused time.
We can always stay at least 1 hour over the prebooked time.
