first of all- this is a customer service industry for loading/unloading companies.
I thought things would go well after seeing some of the reviews, well I was incorrect in that judgement. After the "supervisor" phoned me to schedule a time, he said he could do it earlier. That was fine with me, said they'd be there in an hour. After an hour, they called me back and said they double booked me, and we could do it in the am. Fine. The morning arrives, no call no show, until after 15min, I call leave msg, then unprofessional movers say that their gps is "not working", and are lost. Where's the call when you're not there on time?
*won't be using them again. Would not recommend. Also, didn't have gloves, equipment, etc. poor prep

I am not sure where to start.. They called to tell us they would be late. They showed up at 9:25 AM but billed us for the whole hour. I had asked HireAHelper to make sure that they they brought a furniture dolly and handtruck because the moving truck had to be parked in trailer parking. They didn't bring any thing. When I asked them to call someone to bring a handtruck they said no. Once they saw where the truck was they started telling us that they should be tipped for such a tough job. They continued to talk about us giving them tips for the entire 4 hours. We agreed that it was far from our apartment (though in the same complex) and I left to get rent a truck for the day. After I left, my husband saw them all sitting down smoking where they told him"We are not going to work until she gets back" and informed him that he would have to pay for the time they were waiting for me. He let them know that it would be about 40 minutes till I could get back and they would work. We hired 3 men, one went at a regular pace, one went very slow and the last one moved incredibly slow. They all took many "smoke" through the slowest man would sit on the steps for 5 or more minutes listening to music on his MP3. We had to constantly keep an eye on them so they would keep working.

I noticed that they were all drinking Shnucks (a St.Louis grocery store chain) sodas. I asked where the "Shnucks was in Fayetteville" which he had no idea what I was talking about, Which I asked "Well then how did you get the Snucks sodas?" He stated that my Husband offered them to them. I knew this was a Lie; as I had bought them the day before I left St. Louis, my husband was already living and stationed at Ft. Bragg in Fayetteville, NC, he had no idea that I had bought the sodas and packed ich he them. I did ask my husband if he offered them sodas, which he had no idea what I was talking about. When I told him what happened we figured out that they had gotten into our stuff and helped themselves. Once I found the container I would have offed them but was very upset that they had gone into our stuff and helped themselves. Also, they left the cans, plus bottles of drinks they bought, all over the moving truck and in front our apartment building for me to pick up after them. We were not even 1/2 way through after 2 hours and they told us we had to pay them in cash if we wanted them to stay. My husband and I wanted to let them leave and hire someone else but it was Dec. 22nd and would not be able to hire someone else till after Christmas (all my pots, pans etc was in the truck) so we decided to pay them $73 cash and the rest in a check but told them not without them giving us a receipt. The two slower moving guys were rude, one kicked a bottle of window cleaner and it started pouring all over our carpet, when I told the guy what he had did and to please watch his step, he looked at the spill, looked at me then walked away without a sorry, excuse me, sorry did not see it. Also he never stopped to help clean up the spill but just walked past me, I found him 5 minutes later sitting on the steps listening to his music. I come from a military family and moved around a lot growing up, this was the rudest, most unethical, unprofessional, inefficient movers I have ever seen. We will never use this company again. PS. there were other things but this was long enough

Movers were a few minutes late but called to let me know they were behind. They were prepared for the move. They were hard working and helpful, taking things that weren't packed yet. I was nervous about a few pieces of furniture because they didn't use any dollies but carried everything. They protected everything for while it was in transit, but I did have a few nicks in my wood furniture from moving into/out of the house.

The two gentlemen that helped worked efficiently and fast and well together. They arrived a little late due to another commitment and were ready to get started right away. They noted any previous damage to my furniture and other items and were great at listening to where furniture pieces should go. I would definitely use them again.
