The two guys were amazing. I think their should’ve been three guys being that the storage unit required use of an elevator which took time with the loading and unloading from the truck to the cart to the elevator off the cart into a storage unit…this was way to much got two guys. A family member assisted with unloading yo speed thing along but still went over the prepaid ours a there is still clean up needed to be done which the family member handled.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! No showed for the job. We tried to contact them directly multiple times. Had to call Hire a Helper directly to get someone else to contact them. They finally returned our call to say they were still behind on a previous job and would be at least another hour. They didn’t have the decency to contact us to let us know they were running behind or have the decency to answer the phone when we called them. They even hung up on us when we said we wanted a refund since they no showed to the job. We had to resolve everything through Hire a Helper customer service.

I can say they were on time, but that is all that I can say.
As they were loading I contacted the owner of Simply Better to request for them to stay longer to complete the job., which he was not willing to do. Although I was told initially that they could . And I let him know that they didn’t come prepared as they had no dolly to load the numerous boxes and other items that I had, he seemed surprised. So, they were not able to get as much done The truck was loaded from the front to the back with 60% of my stuff nothing packed on top of the appliances or boxes. The rest of my stuff was still in the apartment. When I asked them what about it. The movers said we don’t pack stuff on top of each other because it falls off. I was like what! Then there was this table that I told them was going in the trash, so it was not going on the truck. I looked around there the table was sitting on the lawn. I questioned them about it. And there response was that someone in my bldg wanted to buy it then they walked away and left it there on the lawn. Fyi no one ever came to buy it so I had to roll it off the lawn. These guys had to be amateur movers I don’t know where they came from. This is not what I would expect from so call professionals. Needless to say I was livid, we had to hire another company to come and rearrange the truck and guess what all of my things got in the truck with room to spare, they were very proficient. I wish that I hadn’t wasted my time and money on Simply Better. When I called Hire a helper to complain they reached out to Simply Better who was not willing to credit me for the horrible experience. I would never use them again.

Simply Better Movers did a fabulous job, specially Shaquil and Raheem, today!! They were professional and worked extremely hard!! This was my second time using them and I would definitely rehire them!! I am greatly appreciative of their hard work!!

This is the second time I had hired them. I have had very good experience both times. Cyrille, their manager, always responded quickly and appropriately. Rashid and Shaq, who were the most recent helpers, were professional, respectful, and very helpful. I could not have asked for anyone better. We had to reschedule the latest help to one week earlier, at the height of the summer moving season. They made time for us and I confirmed it through HireAHelper, and for no extra cost. Thanks to both Simply Better Movers and HireAHelper.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
A phone call or a text from our staff to confirm the booking and go over what the customer will be needing us to complete for them.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
A call or text with ETA, open communication if we have a job before your job we will keep you updated the entire job to give you an exact ETA.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Have the furniture ready to be moved, take lose items off the furniture and electronics should be unplugged. Anything containing water or gas should be unplugged by the customer.
What types of moves have you handled?
Local, long distance, office moves, inhome moves, commercial.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
every customer have an interesting back story, we learn a lot about other states or cities even vacation spots hiking trails. Customers share their experience with us and we love to listen to new stories.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We normally do 2 a job for the first week of training we send 3 a job 2 workers and 1 training at no extra cost to the customer.
