They sent me two guys which is what I paid for and that's fine. I paid for 2 guys for 2 hours. Basically my husband and I are old and im disabled. We needed help with the furniture. One guy was very helpful and the other guy was rarely seen. I caught him hiding upstairs doing nothing. He couldn't work without bring on his phone the entire time. He has poor work ethic and a bad attitude. Every time I couldn't find him I would go look for him and then he would go to another room to find something small to carry. My husband and I ended up do the two heaviest things by ourselves. I would never ever recommend this company. Im furious that I paid 324.00 for basically one guy who stood in the truck arranging things for us. I was robbed.

Mover's response:
Hi Brian,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I truly regret that your experience didn’t feel smooth, but I do want to clarify what actually took place to ensure accuracy for anyone reading.

This was a fully furnished four-bedroom home with a full basement and garage, and only two movers were booked for two hours. Upon arrival, I personally explained that due to the size of the job and the steep hill leading to the truck, the work would likely take longer than the scheduled time.

Both movers — including myself — worked continuously the entire time, carrying furniture up and down the hill and stacking it safely in the truck. No one stayed in the truck or refused to work. Any brief moments with the phone were for timekeeping, dispatch communication, and documenting the job, not personal use.

In the two-hour window, we still managed to complete roughly 70% of the home, which is a strong pace given the conditions and manpower. We never want a customer to feel unsupported, but it’s important to note that this booking’s scope exceeded what two movers could safely complete in two hours.

We appreciate your business and your husband’s service, and we’ll continue improving how we communicate expectations for larger moves so no one feels misled in the future.

DON'T EVER HIRE, Quick Switch Movers in Memphis, TN to assist with loading a moving truck for an out-of-state move, and the experience was nothing short of a disaster. Despite clear instructions to prioritize large, heavy items to optimize space in the truck, the two individuals disregarded this and began loading small items from the garage first. As I, moving alone, was occupied with packing the last of essential daily used items, I couldn’t constantly supervise their work. This led to significant errors that became apparent too late. Upon inspection, I discovered large voids in the truck’s cargo area, which could not be filled efficiently because of their poor loading strategy. Correcting their mistakes required removing and repacking items, wasting valuable time. The job, originally scheduled for 2 hours, extended to 3 hours due to the mismanaged loading process. During this time, I noticed three large items still in the home and had to rush to ensure they were loaded onto the truck, which forced me to sacrifice space and leave other items behind. As a result, I was forced to leave several items behind, giving some away to a neighbor and leaving remainder for the property manager to dispose of, incurring additional move-out charges for cleaning and removal. This incompetence also delayed my departure by 6 hours, requiring me to finish packing the truck myself. Worse, I had to overload my personal vehicle, which was meant to be towed on a car carrier behind the truck, creating unnecessary stress and safety concerns for my long-distance move.
To make matters worse, upon unloading at my final destination, I discovered significant damage to my furniture due to their negligence. My kitchen table was scraped along an entire side, as it had been loaded onto the truck and laid on its side directly on the truck floor without a moving blanket—despite my providing 10 large moving blankets for their use. Additionally, an office desk was mishandled, resulting in a broken securing bolt of a shelf. The workers attempted multiple ways to maneuver the desk out of the door, ignoring my suggestion to remove the door, which I eventually had to do myself to resolve the issue.
The lack of professionalism, failure to follow basic instructions, and inefficiency of Quick Switch Movers turned what should have been a straightforward task into a costly and frustrating ordeal. Their carelessness also caused significant damage to my belongings, adding insult to injury. I strongly advise against hiring them for any moving needs.

1-Star Review: Poor Experience with Quick Switch Movers (Franklin, TN – Sept 28)

I hired Quick Switch Movers through Simple Moving Labor for my move in Franklin, TN on September 28th, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The two movers arrived at 5:30 PM, well past the scheduled 4:00–5:00 PM window, and were clearly exhausted from earlier jobs.

My son and I had just driven 10 hours, yet we still helped unload a 20' U-Haul to get the job done. There were two unloading stops, and by the second stop (a storage unit), the movers were rushing and not following instructions. They wanted to unload everything just to finish quickly, ignoring my directions to load furniture before totes. I even had to stop them from stacking items on top of fragile boxes containing crystal.

The result is a disorganized storage unit where most totes I need are buried behind furniture, and I now have to hire another company to fix it. I paid $456.84 + $130 in extra time and tipped each mover $40, totaling $666.84, yet I’m left paying more to redo the job.

Both companies—Quick Switch Movers and Simple Moving Labor—should ensure their workers are rested and follow basic care and organization standards. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

The team did a great job but not sure why I was charged 4 hours versus two hours other than that it was great service.
