arrived on time took a look around as i told them what was to go. started moving things and they were fast asked to make sure what was to go and what was not, at the new home unpacked quickly and efficiently and in very good time. Altogether the move was done extremely well and the 2 movers did a extremly quick and caustoius they were pleasant, and easy to work with i would hire them again, in fact i am will in july or august when i can get my storage lockers over to the home.

Swiftway was three hours late to my job. I was on the phone to cancel at that point when they finally arrived.
I received no apology or acknowledgement of lateness from either mover or the customer service on the phone.
They packed the truck well, but were very slow. I believe one of the gentlemen was sick. And while I do have sympathy for that -- it was not helpful to my move.
I confirmed with the movers that they had a route to the secondary location. But they called for directions and arrived 40 minutes after my husband and I got there.
Mover openly complained about the toughness of the job on the phone to his boss who kept calling to see when they were getting done (guess someone else was waiting, huh?). I don't call moving 550 cu. ft. of stuff up to a second floor apartment that rough. I have moved the same stuff 4 times in the last two years. I know how long it takes to move, with just ourselves, and with movers.
Finally, they went over 2.5 hours in labor to complete the job. And this is after they picked up a third person to help and I started pitching in as well.
Honestly, it seemed like Swiftway overbooked me/the whole day's jobs. I would have appreciated a phone call simply canceling my job so you can work smarter and I would have avoided a crappy move. Instead, you just created a whole string of pissed off customers.
I will not be calling Swiftway back to help with my next move.

Pros - Very courteous and careful, professional (encountered more stairs than expected and continued smoothly), and moved every item without a scratch!
Cons - Arrived a little late, one of the workers was ill and didn't help out much, move took longer than expected, and the workers smoked (outside only, away from the house) during breaks.
Overall - Hands down THE best movers I've worked with! (Even though this was the most difficult move I've had.) I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again, or recommend them to others. Great service, good price!

Workers were on-time and driven. They didn't show up with a dolly, but were still able to move our heavy items. Overall, they did a great job.

I am always hesitant to hire movers. Between the discretionary packing charges and $15 rolls of tape (that typically hold about 12 inches of packing tape each), the "deal" you start with never quite ends up feeling like a deal at the end.
I changed my mind now.
I was nervous from past experiences with other movers, and the last minute change of time had me expecting a shellacking ... and I was absolutely wrong. The guys who moved me were polite, efficient, easy to work with, and didn't try to add any additional charges at any point. The service charged me exactly the estimated price, and the move happened well within the allotted time limits.
I highly recommend Swiftway, and will definitely use them again when I have to move.
