I&O Moving did a phenomenal job helping with our move. We had a long distance move from MD to CA. We used a pod service and only required the movers to help load the container before it was shipped. Not only were they courteous, but they also were fast and efficient. They are Tetris champs! They packed our 2-story rowhome into the 16’ container with room to spare. What’s more is that when we arrived in CA and opened the container, nothing had shifted after traveling 3000 miles. I would highly recommend I&O if you want quality moving labor help. These guys were experts.

I scheduled 2 helpers to unload a PODS. They arrived early (30 minutes) which was extremely inconvenient for me since I was on my way home from a scheduled engagement hence scheduling the time I did. This led to my not being completely prepared. I don’t think they had done this before or had training because instead of unloading all the items and then carrying the large pieces in first, they carried small boxes and pieces. Hence I was left with my couch standing on end and boxes everywhere. Loading the same furniture down 4 flights of stairs only required 2 helpers and 2 hours. Unloading required an extra hour and then they didn’t have a flat head screwdriver to assemble the bed. Looking for it and changing his shirt led to wasting more of my 3rd hour. Maybe it could have gotten done faster if one had stayed off his phone so he could move faster. I will not use this company again and don’t recommend them.

I have nothing but good things to say about Shane and John. Both were very courteous and polite. They let me work with them and I enjoyed the process very much. John took time to tell me about Columbia (where I moved to) and Baltimore. Both gentleman worked very quickly and it was a very nice experience. I wasn't sure about these moving services at first, but after using I and O and Patriot Movers (in Nashville, when I loaded up my truck), I had nothing but enjoyable and successful experiences.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
nothing but the best all movers have years of experience and aim to please. we start all moves with a phone call prior to your move, giving you an eta and the names of the movers that have been assigned to your job. you will then be advised when they arrive, and your time will not start until they start moving things. you will also be contacted periodically throughout the job to make sure our level of satisfaction expectations are being met.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
make sure you know what items will be moved on moving date so movers can effectively plan the loading of your truck. other than that relax and let the professionals make your move smooth.
What types of moves have you handled?
you name it we have done it small moves, large moves, state to state, local, office, junk runs, we do it all you can count on us for all your moving needs
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
The best part about moving aside from the amazing relationships we build with our customers is when we are at the end of the load and the customer comes out to see how much we packed, and how neatly all of there belongings fit into the truck.
What training do you provide your crew members?
All crew members are trained on proper lifting, and loading techniques, and proper customer service interaction, also packing methods, team lifting, and furniture wrapping
