Kyle and CJ are good guys and did good work. We have had movers with very bad attitudes in the past, particularly given that some of our stuff is difficult to move. Their attitude was excellent and they did a fine job getting our stuff to the new home in good shape.
On time. Eager to work, hardest workers we have ever had to our home. Respectful, pleasant and interesting two guts. Thoughtful and diligent in their approach and the way they handled the work. Would definitely use them again and would refer them to any friends needing help. Great service
They unloaded a moving pod at my two story house in a light rain. They worked well together and were polite and respectful. They finished in about two and a half hours and stayed for another 1/2 hour moving boxes around inside the house which was a great help. Charged way too much for what we got . Truck was loaded in a mess and disorganized.. Charged for extra time when they did not work extra time ...did not follow requests regarding moving dressers and dumped out the contents ...we had to completely reorganize the load .....we feel we did not get what we paid for at all.Show Response
Job was initially scheduled for a Noon start, received a call from Carl informing me that he wouldn't be arriving there with the truck until 2pm, so we waited, and I informed him that we would be on the clock while waiting, which is policy... Once the truck arrived we hustled the whole time almost completely filling a 16' truck within 2 hours from the floor to the ceiling... Customer was frustrated that everything wouldn't fit, they needed a bigger truck to make it all fit in one load. I believe nasty review due to not wanting to pay 2 hours for us waiting, and customer supper stressed and behind schedule on their end... And we didn't "dump out contents of dressers" either, there was 1 dresser top/cabinet that had kids clothes crammed in it, and I placed the items in the bedroom because the cabinets wouldn't stay closed and moving it down the stairs with a 180* turn, the clothes would have most likely fallen out and could have caused on of us to trip over them on the way down...

They arrived within the hour specified. Only one introduced himself. They wasted a lot of time re-organizing the truck, even though everything was shown to them before they started. They disappeared for an extended 'paid' break, which was not disclosed in advance. They broke 2 things

The two guys who showed up were punctual, and were able to move most of the items we needed with no problem. However, when it came time for the refrigerator, things fell apart. They insisted on removing the doors before moving it into our garage, although I kept telling them it would fit through the front door with the doors o…Read Moren, because it was only nine months ago when it was delivered with doors on. They ended up breaking the refrigerator and spent the next 2.5 hours trying to fix it. It was obvious they were intimidated by their boss and did not want to call for any assistance. They finally left that day with the doors barely held in place by a chair propped up against the refrigerator. Their boss then came back with them the next day to try and fix it. The doors did get put back on, but the thermostat and inside lights did not work. Then when they tried to move it into the garage, they put huge scrapes in the doors while trying to get it through the frame of the front door. The boss blamed it on the refrigerator, and said it was too big. He also had said he had moved hundreds of other refrigerators. We had to call a repairman to fix the broken areas and order new doors for all that were seriously scraped. The total bill will cost us $1025. We got half of the money back we paid to hire the service, along with a check for $230. That means it will cost us about $600 out of pocket to fix what they broke. The boss wanted to concoct a scheme and get Samsung to replace the whole unit for being defective, which was not true. We want nothing to do with this service again. We had to interact with this company for about five additional hours that weekend while they tried to figure out how to repair and move our $3500 black stainless steel refrigerator. Maybe if you have simple items to move, this company is fine. Otherwise I would run away from them.
Bob and James were great! They were courteous, very helpful and willing to take on whatever we needed from them. They were very capable and took excellent care of our belongings. They made the move happen very efficiently,and our goods arrived safely and in great condition, for which we are very thankful!

After being notified by the customer that there would be a delay to the start time that was already set for 4-5PM, I advised the customer that maybe it would be best to do it the following morning. Plus we were on a job at the time of the call that was way underestimated in time needed to complete by the previous customer... I hired two men to help interstate movers with the unloading of my items. The men were on time, ready to help and worked continually until the load was unloaded. The crew that arrived knew what to do, how to move the belongings, load the truck, and then safely and efficiently unload it. When we needed them for a 2nd day they overcame obstacles to get to the job and stayed late to make sure we were unloaded and could get on without them. We would recommend them without hesitation.
These guys went above and beyond for me. I had seriously underestimated the time it would take to load. They stayed as long as it took to load the truck like a jenga puzzle. It was a beautiful sight; the unload crew complimented them, too.
I had several problems with the service I received 1. I did receive a phone call the day after I booked the service. We discussed doing the job on Friday (the day I booked) but that they may have other obligations that would run too long. So he suggested Saturday (more inconvenient for me but still doable). He let me know it'd have to be Saturday. 2. They were on time and completed the job within the timeframe of 2 hours. 3. They BROKE my dresser. They commented on how it had been loaded into the POD, and how that posed difficulties in getting it out. A different moving company had loaded my stuff, and two guys had loaded my dresser without removing the shelves. After getting the dresser out of the POD, they commented that it would be easier to remove the shelves. So we did. He then proceeded to tilt my dresser frame on its edge, and attempted to put it on a furniture cart. At some point, the whole frame buckled. I didn't receive a single apology. All I got were excuses. "It's how it was loaded, it was from IKEA so it was cheap, not my fault." The way it was LOADED was no longer an excuse once they got it out of the POD!!!! This instead of an "I'm so sorry", or an offer to compensate me at all for the extra $200 I had to spend for a new one. 4. They did help me back the rented trailer out of my very tight parking lot. Pros and cons, but overall the dresser incident tainted my entire experience. All I heard were excuses, no responsibility taken.

I would not use Michael Clarke @ Save U$$$. He and his helper complained the whole time. They took many breaks and sat on my front porch talking allot about their overtime money due. We had just sold our home and our help on that end was excellent. When we got to the new house this company was like night and day.

They started out being 45 minutes late and took over three hours to load a one bedroom apartment with one adult. They would have taken longer but I had to stop them as they continued to delay finishing until I ordered them to stop. The owner kept my access card and has not yet returned it. The owner's appearance was so poor, a tank top and shorts, that the other apartment residents didn't believe they should have been allowed in the apartment building. Not only would I never use them again but I would encourage everyone else to avoid using them. I literally had to close my apartment door and lock it, then order them to get out of my truck.
Mike and his helper were on time and worked hard. They had to be pretty creative with fitting everything in the truck. The job time was double but that was mostly due to me not properly estimating how much stuff i had. They were a pleasure to work with.

My Backgoun…Read Mored: I've had professional movers move me from OR --> CA, and then from CA--> WA, so I feel I know what to expect. It seemed as if the mover who was in charge brought along his friend who had absolutely no packing experience (had only carried boxes). I had to show them how to wrap wine glasses and other items with packing paper. I feel with some direction they would have worked well, but unfortunately I wasn't being paid to direct, which I had to do multiple times. Additionally, for a normal sized kitchen, it took them roughly 9 man hours (2 people x 4.5 hours) to pack it only. This was completed in 4 man hours by both previous moving companies, and I had already packed 3 full boxes (1.5'x1.5'x2.5' approx), so inexperience and the slow pace of the movers contributed to my spending much more money than planned, and not getting everything loaded. I also had 4 dishes broken by the inexperienced mover, which was quickly resolved by Mike. Overall: Great service from Mike, I feel the move would have gone much smoother and far fewer issues had he been there. The movers he sent did not represent his company well. I would request Mike to be there on a pack/move.

I picked Save U $$$ because of their good reviews. I was thoroughly disappointed. After I scheduled the movers, Mike (the owner) contacted me and said he had another job scheduled for that same Sunday morning and wanted to know if I could move my time to later in the day. Mike then said he would contact the other customer to see if they could move to the afternoon so that he could accommodate my move. The other customer agreed and we were all set to begin on Sunday morning. Then, I got another call from Mike saying the other customer actually canceled on him and wanted to know if he could come later in the day (around 2:00) so he could go to church first. I again told him this would not work and it was either 9 am or nothing. Mike was obviously frustrated his other job canceled on him, but said he would be there on Sunday morning as planned. Although Mike and his helper Kyle showed up on time, Mike was EXTREMELY slow moving. He loaded maybe 5 heavy furniture items from the first stop and was in the truck "staging" the remainder of the time. Myself and the other mover (Kyle) moved everything else down to the truck (boxes, small pieces of furniture, etc etc), while Mike took his time packing. It took 2 hours just to pack a 1 bedroom apartment. My roommate showed up to help and was shocked to see that Mike was just standing around in the truck and moving things around while I was in the apartment hauling things to the truck. There was a lot more talking than working. At one point when we asked him to speed it up, his response was "are you in a hurry?" There just was no sense of urgency to get the job done on Mike's part. It felt like Mike was taking advantage of the hourly rate and intentionally delayed. I suspect Mike wanted to recoup some of his lost money from the other job canceling on him by prolonging my job. This became even more apparent at the second stop where we packed another one bedroom apartment. When we arrived we found out Mike only brought two homemade handcarts that "broke" and delayed the job even further. They didn't even have the proper equipment. Again Mike hardly lifted a finger and barely came to the apartment to move anything. He stayed on the truck and "arranged" things. I understand that packing a truck takes some degree of skill so that things aren't damaged, but there is no excuse for one mover and the customers to be physically moving furniture while the other stands around and packs. They also didn't seem to understand the concept of filling an entire elevator to take a load down. Instead, they would grab one or two items, take it all the way to the truck, pack it up, and then came back up to grab two more things and take them all the way back. By the time we finally got to the unload spot, again Mike stayed in the truck the bulk of the time and handed things to us, the customers, while we unloaded. It seemed like Mike only wanted to do easy jobs. When he did move things, they were pillows. Mike clearly likes to direct and organize, and not move furniture and boxes. At the end of the day, we expressed our frustration to Mike who did not listen to our concerns. I told him I would not release payment until I spoke with hireahelper.com (per the contract terms if you release payment, you relinquish your right to dispute the move time with hireahelper.com). Mike walked off in a huff and said "this happens yet again!" Obviously, I was not the first customer who had issues with Mike and I am so perplexed why the reviews are so great on here. Overall, this was a truly disappointing experience. As someone who has hired many movers in the past, this has been the absolute worst. It would have been more time effective and cheaper to just ask friends to help us move. I didn't imagine I would hire two movers and be working and moving the entire time. But, it we did not help, the job simply would not have gotten done. What should have taken 4 hours took 6.25, a lot of headache, stress and physical exertion. Don't waste your time.

He felt the original packing wasn't secure or stable enough to withstand damage during travel. All I can simply say is this... I have done allot of jobs with Billy, and just because I was communicating with him on what to watch out for throughout the coarse of the job does not mean that he didn't know what he was doing...
