I had booked 2 guys for 6 hours... a job I couldn't do in a month with my knee problems. A man called me a few days before the move and said, if I were to cancel my $425 order with hireahelper, and pay him directly, they could do it for $300, but I'd have to pay him right then, and not go through the approval process at hireahelper. I thought about the no-show count on hireahelper website, and what would I do if they didn't show up? No contract, no contact info, and I'm supposed to give some guy my credit card number over the phone, and pay in full before the job? I said I'd pay the extra 125 to go through hireahelper. And guess what, they're a no-show....
unethical in a number of ways.... no, I won't use them in the future, even through hireahelper.
