The actual movers were fine, but I would not use "Movers R Us" again for two reasons:
(1) I was not contacted by the company before the work date as Hire A Helper indicated (and as other movers from "Hire A Helper" have done in the past). When I did not get a confirmation call, I called them, no one picked up the phone.
(2) I was not refunded for the unused time past the two hour minimum. In the past when using "Hire A Helper", the company cheerfully refunded the unused time. In this case I was told "read the fine print we don't refund unused time." What fine print? I feel like a huge sucker since when I used 1.5 hours of the time I expected to be charged 2 hours, not 4. That being the case, I gave the movers big tips since they wouldn't be used for those 2 hours. I guess the joke was on me. (They gave me $50 back, I lost $150).
Given that some movers DO refund unused time and some do NOT, it would be pretty insane to use "Movers R Us". Instead hold out for a company that charges for actual time used, because if you are like me and having a POD unloaded, you have no idea how long it will take the workers to do so.

Showed up right on time. He was friendly, efficient and had everything needed to get the job done correctly. Finished the move with no issues, and moved some other items in the house so I could unpack the boxes. Definitely wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

The arrival window that was booked was for between 4-5pm. I busted by behind to get my dads uhaul loaded that morning and drive 3.5 hours to get to his new place in time for Movers R Us to unload. They did not arrive until 6pm. The two gentlemen hired to unload the uhaul were extremely kind and helpful and apologetic for their tardiness (traffic), but this is the metroplex (plan in advance for traffic). Overall they were wonderful and I’d recommend this service. It was just two hours later getting finished with a super long stressful day than I was hoping for. We could not have moved dad in without them though so thank you Movers R Us.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?
The best part about being a Mover is being able to satisfy the Customers and play Tetris with all of their items. Our motto is if it can't move, it can't break.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We provide a 2-week paid training Monday - Friday. Training class is a hour and a half long.

We accept next day requests at our normal rates.
