They worked hard, and completed the job in less time than I expected.

Wouldn't recommend Alliance Movers to my worst enemy.
10 minutes before arrival, they called to ask where to park and told me that they'd leave if they couldn't find street parking. They were able to find parking, but got a ticket, and informed us that'd we'd be responsible for paying the ticket.
Slow. Unprofessional. Careless with our items. Took frequent breaks. Demanded cash for extra time ($85 for an extra 12 minutes. Never mind the fact that there were easily 12 minutes of the 2 hours where they were standing around doing nothing). One mover:
1) Did not speak sufficient English to take instructions (my fiancee had to speak Spanish to him);
2) Complained about the scope of the move the entire time:
3) Helped himself to water from our fridge without asking;
4) Defecated in our bahroom and left a stain on the toilet.
Oh, and at the end of the move, they demanded I release payment while they stood there and watched.

The guys were on time and prepared. I had an antique chest that was heavy and the guys were very careful to take good care of it while loading. They were respectful of my property and I'd definitely use them again.

These guys did a pretty good job.
It was their last job of the day, so they were on their last reserves of energy, but they still moved our furniture and boxes quickly and carefully.
I would recommend them to anybody looking to hire movers.

Alliance movers were great! They did run a couple of hours late because of another job, but it worked out due to my schedule and they stayed in touch with throughout the day. They moved everything in quickly. I had a couple of difficult pieces to fit in the apartment, and they patiently took off the door to make it work, even though it was late in the day. I highly recommend working with Alliance movers.

We had a pretty good experience with Alliance. At first we had some communication problems and did not receive any call to confirm they would be there at the assigned time. This wouldn't have been a big issue, but we scheduled on short notice, so there was a time crunch. After leaving a couple of messages someone did call, confirm, and apologize.
2 helpers arrived at the assigned time, but they did not bring the two wheeled dolly we had requested. We were concerned this would effect the amount of time it would take them to complete the job, however, both men worked continuously for the 2 hours and completed the job.
My only real complaint would be about the way boxes were tossed around a little. A couple of things were dropped. My kitchen aid mixer was in a box marked "THIS SIDE UP" on every side in big letters and yet one of the movers still turned it over and tossed it on top of another box. We were able to catch it, but I was annoyed with the disregard and wondered what else I might not have caught.
Over all, I would hire them again.
