Polite and efficient!
Were they on time? Their window of time was 9am - 10am. At 9:25 I recieved a call saying one of the guys was there and they were waiting on the other guy and he would be there in 10 minutes. 25 minutes later the guys showed up. Were they prepard for the job? After looking clueless and asking multiple times what exactly they were supposed to load (it was everything), they started. One of the guys had a dolly with a price still on it. He asked the other guy if he knew that a dolly was so expensive. It had appeared that the second guy was late because he went to buy a dolly. They did not know how to take apart a basic china cabinet and I had to show them how to take out the glass. They said several times that they did not have the tools to take the bed apart. I gave them my toolbox. They said I did not have the proper tools and they would have to go purchase them. I had friends come over and they took the bed apart in 5 min with their hands and a screwdriver. It was noted when the job was set up that assistance assembling and disassembling was needed. Did they work hard. In one hour they had 6 dining room chairs loaded onto the truck and two small side tables. It took them four hours to load the vehicle. They moved "very" slowly. It was a one bedroom apartment. When I mentioned the slowness to the manager he said that it was going fine. He did say he wouldn't charge me more than 2 hours, which was nice, but I had to explain that movers were on the other side of the move waiting to unload me. It was 3 hours away. They did not seem aware of this, and it did not expedite the process. Were they respectful of your property and goods. They tried to drag my box spring mattress on the ground. A friend had to tell them to pick it up. Would you use them again? No. They were so late that the movers on the other side said it was too late and they did not show. After lining everything up I had to recruit friends to unload me at the last minute and the entire truck was unloaded in 20 min.
This is the mixed review. Of the two workers that I hired one, Dannen was good. He was a strong, hard worker and very efficient. He figured out how to arrange boxes well. Unfortunately, I cannot say that for the other young gentleman who cannot keep his hands off his phone even though his hands were needed to move packages. Eventually we have to tell him put that phone away. Overall, they both could have moved faster. We hired them for 2 hours and it took four hours, twice the amount of time it should have taken. And that was with both my strong husband and I hustling and helping. Both were very respectful to our items though!
The two young men that helped us move worked every minute they were there. They worked hard and knew what they were doing. They were very courteous and extremely careful with our things. I really appreciated their help and I let them know it and their supervisor know it.
Everything was carefully and strategically loaded into our 26’ U-Haul. The people who unloaded on the other end said they’d never seen such a professional truck loading job! Make sure to give them plenty of time and your belongings will all fit and make it safely.

They arrived on time but not ready to work. The movers do not supply Dolly’s, they must be ordered online or ordered through moving truck service, which I was not aware of because the people who loaded my truck brought their own. There was a lot of complaining about how much stuff and how heavy and the layout of my new house. My mother and I did just as much if not more moving of boxes and furniture as the 2 helpers and oftentimes one of them would hand us boxes from the truck. I would not recommend this service and will not be using them again. Not professional at all. They told me they needed to take breaks when they first arrived even though they were only here for 2 hours. Just pure laziness and I wouldn’t have had to spend an hour after they left completing the job if both of them had worked on bringing stuff in the whole time.
The helpers were there timely. The packing of the 26' footer was horrible. Then I was told from the helpers that they could not take the refrigerator out of the house to load on the truck, the helpers commenced to taking the doors off, which did not have to be done. The helpers were not respectful of my property and goods. The helpers did not come equipped with hand truck, tools, etc. The truck was not packed properly for all the household goods to packed on the truck (the placed things in the truck as if they were moving down the street, laying the household items, not stacking to make space for all the other items). When I took a look at the loading process-I WAS FURIOUS...beyond measure. The time was wasted for the 4hours of work and money. I had to call someone who had previously unloaded my personal and household items into the 3-bedroom house from a storage. It was not until the new crew (previously worked with-unnamed) came in to rescue me from a terrifying situation. Things started flowing as they should have from the start with HANDY DANDY moving service. I ended up paying two different moving crews (HANDY DANDY) which was paid handsomely, I was completely unhappy with HANDY DANDY. The other crew (which will remain unnamed) took time from their busy schedules to redo a job that HANDY DANDY MOVING SERVICE was supposed to and paid to do. I was on a timeline which caused me extra time away from work (more $ lost) due to the negligence of HANDY DANDY MOVING SERVICE. It took the Unnamed crew extra time to undo what HANDY DANDY moving service-did not do, even put the refrigerator on the truck without taking off the doors, only the door handles. Prior to the Unnamed movers to complete the loading process and the truck was packed to full capacity. Now, who is going to refund me for this mishap...I do not think it will be HANDY DANDY moving service. On top of that...HANDY DANDY moving service...on of the crew members which was 26yrs old was flirtation with me, which was inappropriate behavior to be on a professional job. DEFINITLEY NO....I will not use them again.
I thought I was hiring professional packers and movers. I was surprised when two men from day labor showed up. If I just wanted a couple young men to help me load the pod I would have called day labor myself. I would have saved a lot of money. The company did not supply a hand truck or any other tools you would expect for moving. The men were polite and good workers but I had to closely manage the packing and loading of the pod. They did the heavy lifting but I still did a lot of the work as well.
This was the first time I used a moving service. It cost me more than I ever thought I would pay but the two men that moved me were an absolute delight. They did everything perfect. I had a lot of stuff and they cared about how they packed everything. They were kind and polite and I would definitely recommend them with pleasure.
