I am so sad to be posting this review. 2 gentlemen came out to move my belongings from my apartment to my POD. They were nice and seemed helpful. After working for 4 hours (until 9pm), they notified me that the rest of my belongings would not fit, including a rolled up area rug and a broken down teepee for my son, along with 10 boxes and some odds and ends. I was distraught, stressed, and overwhelmed. I was to drive out of state the following day but had to cancel because my belongings were not removed from my rental. Over the next 3 days, I was making arrangements to get the rest of my belongings to NC from FL. On day 2,
I opened the POD to discover a horrendous packing job with room left to place the rest of my belongings. I have major spine issues and have not worked for the last year due to these issues. I had my son’s father to come help. When he saw the packing job, he was outraged. Ironically, another moving service had come into my complex for another tenant at the time we were dealing with the POD and my belongings. The man from the company saw us struggling and came to assist. When he saw the packing job, he could not believe his eyes either. We were advised to unload and repack if I wanted my belongings to survive a 700 mile move. I called HireAHelper in which I didn’t receive much help. They sent me a claim to be filled out via email. I initially paid $264 to the company but was then told I needed to pay $150 for 2 additional working hours via CashApp, which I had done. In addition, I tipped each mover $20 for a total of $40. I spent $450 for this terrible service. And now, I’m paying an additional $425 to another company to unload and repack today. I had to start my new job in NC, so I have someone helping me to be present for this. I just received a FaceTime call to show me that my son’s bed is already broken and to expect more things to be broken as well. I am just beside myself. I am a single mom who has been out of work and is in the process of starting a new job in a new state. This move has been the MOST costly expense due to these movers. My belongings will not reach me until July 9th. My lease starts July 1st, so I will be paying to be in 2 places for now. I had to get an Airbnb for 11 days to bridge the gap, which is another HUGE unnecessary expense. I decided to go the POD route to save money over instead of out of state movers to save money thatI don’t have to only end up spending more than if I just went the professional out of state movers route. I’m severely disappointed. Please be careful when using Cartier Moving Services, LLC via HireAHelper. You might end up like me - broke with broken furniture and belongings. :(

Second time using this company. First time was great!! This time, not so much. Scheduled time was 8-9 am. Only one guy showed up slightly on time (915 am). Other person was sleeping. Company had to find a second person and he arrived an hour later (1030 am). That’s when the time SHOULD have started since the first guy was not able to do a lot. They ended around 1215 and supervisor called and said that I would be charged for the extra hour. Are you kidding me?!?! Contacted Hireahelper and they said that I can either keep the amount that was charged or they can reduce the rate and still add the extra hour which would total about $5 more than my original. Are y’all kidding me?!?! Thank goodness we’re not moving again because this was the WORST experience I got from you guys.
