Rock and Elvis (yes, that was their names) were great. We'd packed our stuff with help from family, and then moved too far for them to help unpack. The guys were great. They unloaded everything very quickly, put it all exactly where it needed to go, and treated it all like it was their own stuff. No damage from these guys to our stuff, our house, or anything. I definitely recommend Movers For A Cause if you want it done right.

Absolutely wonderful men ! Felt like we had met before, that's how nice they were. I really didn't think all of our furniture was going to fit in the big pod we had,but Reggie is like a Tetris genius. It all fit and we had a little wiggle room as well. I definitely recommend this company.

I blame Hire A Helper most of all, not the movers as much. I had planned the movers to be at my house at 10:00 to 11:00 am. I had plans in the early morning. I received a call the day before requesting the time be moved back to 9:00am, which altered my morning plans but I did so anyway. The movers did not arrive at my house until 11:30 am. 2 and 1/2 hours late. I was livid and let Reggie know. He came back at me and would not stop, even threatening to leave. He had his hands crossed and he was laughing at me. I have witnesses to prove it. I kept asking him to stop the argument and he would not. It was awful! Then they started unloading 1 box at a time, not using a hand truck or dolly until hours later. By the way, I originally asked for 3 men for 3 hours. He suggested the 4th man and I agreed but the three hours turned into 5 hours. The thing that really ticked me off is Hire A Helper advertises local movers. These guys came from New Jersey on the NJP and Interstate 95 during morning rush hour traffic. They left their house at 7:00 am and arrived in Connecticut at 11:30 am, it took them 4 and 1/2 hours driving ONE WAY, that is NOT LOCAL! Local would have been from NEW HAVEN, not 2 states away!!! Check the area code if you plan on using Hire A Helper and be ready to be told you need more movers than you anticipate and for it to take 2-3 hours more than you expect. The loading of the PODS cost me $917. for 4 guys at 6 hours. The unloading cost me $621. for 4 guys at 5 hours. PODS recommends these local movers when they are anything but local. Local to them is a 100 mile radius! I would never use Hire A Helper again. Big Mistake!
