There was a dispute between the workers that resulted in the cops being called (by them). There were accusations of a stabbing attempt; none of which we witnessed but one of the workers through the scissors that was part of the accusation across our room towards our couch. I had my family here and smaller children including a baby. This was very innapropriate and scary for a few of them. If I hadn’t prepaid, I would have refused to pay full amount. Based on this experience, I would never refer your organization!

Mover's response:
Yes, I, Larry Davis, owner, called the police on a newly hired employee who would not leave the site after being terminated. After several disrespectful exchanges with myself and staff member Elton, the employee, Kevin Porter, was fired and told to stop work immediately, to stay outside the customer's home, and to wait for further instructions.

The employee, irate, as a ploy to retaliate, re-entered the customer's home, now trying to sabotage the job, talking loudly and demanding that the customer's family take him home immediately. I, Larry, stepped in to say no; that was not acceptable, and I told Kevin to leave your home. Admittedly, this was not information you were aware of because you were not at the location when this situation occurred.

Your husband allowed Kevin to sit inside while we completed the job. Kevin put on a show, acting as if he was threated by our staff, but this was all lies. I witnessed him being disrespectful to my staff and your family's home.

Your husband stated it was okay for Kevin to sit inside, without escalating any further problems, after he refused to wait outside as instructed. He also witnessed me telling Kevin multiple times to leave your home. We warned him that we would call the police if he did not leave. I did this to ensure he would leave your home before management left, as protecting your family’s safety was my top priority.

The police arrived and made Kevin leave your home, following my instructions. They escorted him out and dropped him off outside your neighborhood. Kevin embarrassed himself and my company. I wanted to file charges against him for attempting to sabotage our work after being fired, but the officer said it was not a crime because your husband allowed him to sit inside.

I am determined to prosecute anyone attempting to take advantage of my customers or staff—period. Ma’am, I know you probably expected me to be some kind of hero and physically remove my employee from your home, but no. The officer there told me I did the right thing by not escalating the situation further.

Ma’am, you're right—children were involved, and that was my first concern, as I have kids myself. Your husband decided it was not as threatening of a situation since no one continued arguing with Kevin.

Please understand, I cannot remove anyone by force, even if I bring them to your house—I am not a police officer.

I personally apologized to your family, to you, to your husband, and to the officers who responded. I am unsure how to interpret this situation because I feel I lost, and now I am being blamed—even though I did the right thing to protect everyone.

Elton and I completed the job; we did not stop despite the situation. The job was scheduled for 2 men and 3 hours, and we finished in 2 hours and 50 minutes. Your husband tipped us because he witnessed us doing the right thing. He also saw me give the entire tip to the officer to give to Kevin. GOD is my witness, I try my best!
