Hi my name is Todd and I own Modern Day Movers. I have 30+ years of moving ,loading and assembly experience residential and commercial moves. I myself will be on and facilitate every move we book. Covid19 compliant. 1-6 man background checked crews available. Same day and last minute booking available. Every employee has been professionally trained. This company takes pride in the services we provide and strive for customer satisfaction We have all the equipment and knowledge needed to complete any move residential or commercial. We do full pack and moves as well. We are Hireahelper approved to move any kind of piano, pool tables or hospital equipment.

Todd & his helper were great. They worked efficiently to unload a large pod and bring all items into my new home. They assembled all furniture pieces I requested and carefully placed all items. It was a relief to be able to enjoy my new home w/o any drama with the unloading process. They were great. I would use them again and highly recommend.

Please book elsewhere. Two of four movers booked showed up over an hour late. We were told the other two were stuck in traffic. Two hours later were told their truck broke down and they were no longer coming. The two who remained (one of whom is the owner/supervisor Todd) were rude and dismissive.
We provided 50 moving blankets and saran wrap - they wrapped all furniture in only saran wrap and just threw blankets haphazardly over things on the truck as they piled other stuff on top - that is not how proper movers protect furniture for a move. We have photos of the loaded truck showing multiple wood pieces of furniture completely unprotected with piles of loose items strewn on top of them. Eight pieces of irreplaceable furniture were heavily scratched or had chunks broken off. (Movers on the other end to unload were in disbelief when they opened the truck at how it was packed)
A box of porcelain figures popped open while they were loading and instead of putting the figures back into the well-packed box, they were thrown into various other boxes where we found them broken while unloading. They did not bring any basic tools as advertised and had been notified we would need help removing the TV from the wall to pack up (elderly parents) but upon arrival said they would not help with that.
Since there were only two of them, it took much longer than the scheduled time - and they asked my mom to venmo them directly as it would save her money when in fact it was actually more money than it would have been via hireahelper's proper channels. It was an emotional day for my parents who were leaving my dad's childhood home - what a horrible way to spend their final day there. I have hired a number of other crews via hireahelper before - all amazing so this was just a shocking experience.
4 men were sent but unfortunately one team broke down on the 2 hour trip to get to u but myself and my partner completed the move ourselves in the same amount of time u booked for 4 men. I even provided a few straps of my own to secure piano because all u had was rope and rope doesn't secure items well enough to keep from shifting. We had any tools or equipment needed and we attempted for over 30 minutes to help you with the TV but the bracket had been rigged with wood screws to hold the TV a certain way and the bracket wasn't able to detach as it should. I didnt want to start taking out screws and something happen to the tv so you said your brother or someone would get it when they asked ur dad how to get it off. We strive to do the best we can on every job and the last thing we want is any kind of damage. If damage happened due to our neglect we will take responsibility for that. Feel free to contact me if you need to discuss this. I will also offer u money back due to the fact u were not satisfied with our performance.

These guys are awesome awesome pros who make the move painless and easy. They walked through the apartment and determined the order to load items into the pod to maximize space - I honestly was surprised how much they fit in, in such a neat and safe way. They also work very quickly (even though they had to deal with a flight of stairs and some distance to the pod) and are honest about time expectations. Highly recommended and would use them again.

We will do whatever we can to relieve the stress of your move . If you are not given professionalism and respect by every Modern Day Mover and it's not resolved immediately our portion of the move will be free.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Let us do the work for you. Packing services are available. To save time and damage prevention all boxes should be tape shut and tote lids secured.
