We recently moved from Maryland to Illinois and used this company to unload our truck. This side of the move went a lot more smoothly than the first side.
They were extremely accommodating when I asked for an extra guy to help unload our truck at the last minute.

Mark and Tommy did a wonderful job. They loaded everything from a below street level studio (13 steps down and then a long corridor to the actual space where items were being moved from). They were friendly and courteous, and worked very well together. Though not requested, they did bring their own hand cart which seemed to assist in the organization and movement of items from one end of the building to the door. I would highly recommend this company and crew for future work. Thanks a lot guys!

They showed up about 15 minutes late. While one of the packers smelled like a brewery, the olther talked non-stop - he followed me around my house to "tell me stories" instead of packing. They did not bring any tools to take the bed apart - which was listed as a to do item, so they used my husbands tools, which i later found laying out in the driveway. They brought all the furniture out & let it sit in the sprinkling rain while they decided how to pack it. They did not pack everything that needed to go because they ran out of room - when the box reached it's destination the first question the unpackers asked was why we didn't fill it up. Probably would not use this company again.
I have since reprimanded these employees and instructed them that this type of behavior is unacceptable. They were told they would be terminated if they acted in this or any similar manner again!

Okay- I really wanted to like these guys. When I talked to Mike on the phone the first time he was friendly and seemed helpful. Then moving day came...
I never received any kind of confirmation call before the actual unload, so at 2:00 pm I decided I wanted to call them to ensure they were still coming. They confirmed and showed about 30 minutes later.
The two guys were not friendly at all. I am positive that one of them was drunk due to the strong smell of alcohol coming from him. The other guy was a know-it-all type who complained about our items the entire time he unloaded.
They were not respectful to our move and slow. I do not think that it needed to take the extra 2 hours it did since there was several times they were not moving things into the apartment for 20 minutes at a time.
My husband caught them smoking IN OUR RENTAL TRUCK on several occasions. I found this behavior unacceptable.
No one followed up with me about the service. Save yourself time and money and choose someone else.
Secondly, I had no idea that your move turned out the way it did!!!
I assure you and any other potential customers that this kind of behavior WILL NOT BE TOLERATED and they will be SEVERELY REPRIMANDED!!!
I would also like to take a moment to ask future clients of Move Assist to PLEASE Call and let someone in our office know if there are any issues on your job so that it may be dealt with IMMEDIATELY!

My guys showed up 10 minutes early, had all their equipment and conducted themselves in a professional and courtesy manner the entire time! I especially appreciated their advice on keeping a guy at the truck while the other two keep unloading. Definitely helped speed things up AND protected my truck and goods.
All three were hard workers, more respectful to my property than I would have been, and I would definitely recommend Move Assist to a friend or family member!

Two great movers who were very helpful came to move our stuff. They were willing to take instruction and even stayed an extra hour until the job was done. I would definitely use this service again. I did get a phone call saying they would be an hour late, and they were, but to be fair the house is not easy to find.
