We had a last-minute move to bring my folks to come live with us. They had implied they were packed and ready. When we got there, we found nothing was ready or packed, and we had hired these movers to come to load our truck (which was two sizes too small -another long story). Not only did they swoop in and tell us, "don't worry, these things happen, it'll work out, and it will get done" They were polite, respectful of property, and did everything in their power to fit as much as humanly possible in a truck too small for the move we needed to make. They didn't scold us or make us feel inadequate but instead reassured us and they did exactly what they said they would. We would use them again ANY DAY! Thanks to the team that worked their butts off for a houseful of old people stressed beyond their minds.

Steve from Strick-Fos called to correct the billing from 3 helpers to 2 helpers, as a result of my request 24 hours in advance of their arrival. I was charged by Hire-a-Helper for 3 helpers, and I was contacted by Hire-a-Helper customer service saying this would adjust which was great response time. We used Hire-a-Helper on both ends of our move. Both teams were amazing and very professional. I will be recommending Hire-a-Helper to everyone in the future. Great experience! Thanks

The workers arrived on time and were quick in loading my items. However, when I got to where I was going and was unloading we found lots of scratches and damaged small items plus my 3yr old bedroom dresser was broken.

Good communication before the crew arrived and they were ready to work the minute they arrived. They worked very efficiently and energetically even when it started raining. They were helpful and polite and I would not hesitate to use them again. Highly recommended!

These guys worked hard and with good humor for the entire job! They were responsive to our requests and very polite. Because of some travel issues on my end, I was unable to keep my 8:00 AM time slot. I reached out to Steve a day early and told him about my situation. Over the next few hours, he rearranged his entire schedule and moved me to later in the day. Something he did not have to do, but did anyway, a true professional and all about customer service done right!
Steve and his team arrived at my house ahead of time, with additional staff, and set to work unloading my full truck like a well oiled machine.
Even though his guys had already worked a full day, they were all happy, respectful, professional, nice, friendly, and caring about my belongings as if it were their own!
They far exceded my expectations and I will never move again without them. Steve and his team receive my highest recommendation and my respect for perfect customer service!!

Steve and his crew arrived on time and unloaded our 26’ Uhaul truck in two hours that took us over 10 hours to load. They set everything up in the places we instructed, even put together the beds and my 100+ year old roll to desk. This was an amazing experience, we were exhausted from the move and these guys came in and did I their thing, which created a refreshing view of moving into a new home. I highly recommend using this company for your moving needs.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
It’s always great to be prepared, Our company understands that it can sometimes be difficult to prepare for a move when you are on a tight schedule or last minute. Feel free to contact us for any questions or concerns you may have. We are always available to help.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have completed thousands of local and long distance moves over the years including both residential and commercial moves. We are experienced in disassembling, reassembling, and transporting any type of piano( upright, baby grand and even grand). We can also move any items around in your home for you upon request.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
I personally enjoy the opportunity to meet new people and I enjoy being able to travel to different locations that I haven’t visited before. Mostly, I enjoy hearing positive feedback from all of our wonderful customers.
What training do you provide your crew members?
All crew members are knowledgeable in wrapping & packaging household items as well as loading each container in a way that maximizes all available space!! In addition, all crew members are background checked and have at least 2 or more years of moving experience prior to starting with us.
