My name is Steven G filamond jr, as a young adult my first job was being a mover. At one time movers were viewed as professional, one of a kind. Today there are many moving companies and they all say the same thing. Best price,best crew, ect! My thirteen plus years, I have had the pleasure of being a part of all types of different kinds of moving. I've seen good and bad times, from customers views, and owners views. I strongly believe a change for the trade of being a mover needs to happen. Many sleepless nights, and finally I came up with a solution. A solution to take back the respect and views of being a professional mover. My one of a kind training course, all my employees must complete before going out to a move. A course that focuses on conflict resolution\customer service and a tricks of the trade for movers course. Move day is stressful, nerve recking, unless you have the solution for your move day. After confirming on hireahelper.com and speaking with them on the phone to confirm again, they sent me an invoice the morning of the move for double the price we had agreed to, asking me if I wanted to cancel the order. Eventually I got in touch with the owner and he agreed to fulfill the work at the original price, but he would not be able to make the time we'd agreed to. I had hired labor only (two workers for four hours) for my small move. An employee showed up about two hours after the scheduled window (albeit with good communication), after I'd already moved most of my belongings into my own truck. The employee was kind and hard working, but he dropped my belongings twice (and he did apologize after the second time). In half an hour with his help, we had the last two items that I could not move myself loaded into the truck and we were on the road. Finally, while unloading the truck at the destination, everything went very smoothly and the job was done quickly and easily. The owner showed up at the destination about 20 minutes after the job was done, and he agreed to only charge me for one worker for two hours since that's all that I actually got. Hireahelper had good customer service that adjusted the bill right away for me.

Stephen and his helper are respectful, hard working guys and they worked well together. They ran late but communicated well with me every step of the way. They were willing to do whatever I asked of them no matter how big or small and were careful with everything they moved. If they had questions about where I wanted something they asked ahead of time and in the one or two instances where I wanted something moved they did so willingly. I appreciated Steve's upfront questions to understand ahead of time how I wanted him to proceed and the order in which to tackle the items moved. They have equipment but used ours as their pickup was being serviced. I would use them again.

I provide a two part training course to all employees, before heading to any scheduled move. First part is a training I personally came up with. I show all the popper techniques on how to lift furniture without damaging anything! Second is a conflict resolution course that all employees must take!
