The 2 guys that helped us were fantastic! We had some problems scheduling wise, but we scheduled only about 24 hours in advance, so not holding it against them whatsoever, they called very soon after I booked to let me know the time would probably be tight and they could do a few hours later. They ended up getting to us at 8pm after 2 other large jobs on a very hot day, and stayed until past 11 to make sure the job got done. Both were very personable and got everything into our new place with no problems.

We hired them on Saturday june11'th on an extremely hot day to help out with the heavier items that we couldn't handle. They worked very fast for the two hours they were hired for, wasting no time which I appreciated. They were curtious, professional,and was careful to not damage any items. They worked hard to the last minute and was well worth the price of their services. I would definitely use these guys again if I needed them.

These guys were professional from the word go… Very knowledgeable about how to pack and how to place things in a protective way… When we realized we were not going to be able to get everything packed in the time I had booked, they went out of their way to make sure that they came back a few days later and finished up the job… my wife and I have already talked to them about unpacking at our new house when it's complete… Great guys and I highly highly recommend them !!

Good guys, but they need a lot more moving experience. The team worked hard, but not smart: each guy would carry one box from the house to the truck, even though there were two (one mine and one theirs) 2 wheel dolly's available. If they used the dolly's, each person would have been able to carry at least 3 or 4 boxes to the truck per trip. I believe they wasted a lot of time just because they did not work efficiently. They should have wrapped furniture with furniture pads before moving it to the truck but they waited until they put the furniture in the truck, then did not wrap it but just covered the furniture. So wood pieces like head boards were carried from the house and placed on the driveway with no protection before putting them on the truck, increasing the likelihood of damage. I don't have much furniture, but they only had a few furniture pads. I provided some pads but they still ran out. As a result, an antique chair was scratched. One of the workers had what seemed like a serious respiratory problem and could only do a little bit of work before being so badly out of breath that he had to rest for awhile. I think his being on that job was a disservice to me and dangerous for him. Like I said at the beginning, they are good guys and good workers. They just need more experience (and more furniture pads!).

Hometowne movers did a great Job!! The 2 young men that came to move us were on time and ready to work, we had booked 5 hrs and had it done in just 5hrs with loading, driving 50 miles and unloading. They both set up what we needed and handled our stuff with care, I would recommend them if you are needing help moving.. The owner Derick kept in contact with us on everything that was going on and we even started earlier than intended..
