I was preparing to move across the country out of my 2 story apartment in NYC. Hiring a moving company to drive my stuff 1,000 miles was way too expensive so I decided to hire a Penske truck and drive it myself. Only one problem, getting my heavy furniture and boxes out of my 2nd floor walk-up down to the truck and loaded up. Its just me, a 40-something woman with zero desire to break my back navigating mattresses and couches down narrow stairwells! SO the dilemma was "how to find guys to do this part for me?!" Blindly I started Google searching and came across this website for Hire A Helper. Listed were several local movers who did labor only. I scrolled and read reviews. All reasonably priced. But saw Tetris who were significantly more affordable than the other options. I'm naturally dubious of a big discount so I proceeded to read all the reviews. They were great so I took a chance and booked them. AND I'M SO GLAD I DID. William and his helper showed up exactly when we scheduled them to arrive. And despite some trouble getting the moving truck to my place on time (NOT Tetris's fault, that was 100% a Penske issue), the move went off without a hitch. Some details. I have a 1 bedroom apartment with basic furniture: couch, bookshelves, table, bed, dresser, etc and probably about 30 boxes of varying sizes. I wasn't sure if 2 hours would be enough time for them to get the job done. But it turns out, it took them exactly 1 hour 15 minutes to get the truck totally and expertly loaded! The guys were friendly and professional. And they took extra care of my fragile belongings like glass table tops and artwork. When I arrived after my 1,000 mile trip I opened the back of the truck and everything survived in one piece! SO great job Tetris! I recommend highly for anyone who doesn't have or want to use the muscle power to lift, carry, load heavy and unwieldy things from one place to another. It saved me. Seriously. Short of having a couple of big brawny brothers, these guys are the next best thing when you've got to move. Hope that helps! And don't forget, they were easy on my wallet. It's a case of getting MORE than you paid for. So tip the well people. It's worth it.

Both workers came on time each day. They followed the instructions given. The young men worked diligently and were very careful with the items being removed from the house. They also worked very hard lifting many boxes and pieces of furniture and carrying them to a dumpster.
I would highly recommend them and Tetris Master Movers to those looking for assistance with heavy and labor intensive work. I will call Tetris Master Movers to hire helpers for future projects. John Pemberton

I hired three helpers for four hours. They were supposed to arrive between 10-11 am. I waited at my storage unit for an hour. When nobody arrived by 11:00 am I called them. I spoke to the dispatcher who advised the men would arrive in 30 minutes. I then waited another 1 hour and 10 minutes and called again. This time I spoke to the hire a helper contact person who reached out the dispatcher. I received a text a short while later from the dispatcher stating one helper would arrive soon and the other two were still an hour away. This didn’t work for my time schedule so I told them not to bother. I would get somebody else the next day. Tetris masters could have been better with communication and let me know what was going on, but they just left me waiting for too long without any explanation. Thankfully the hire a helper crew immediately worked hard to find me somebody else available and reputable to help me move the following day on Sunday.
