Curtis, the owner, was very responsive and told me exactly what I needed to do to prepare for the move. The crew who packed for me--Nicholas and Chris-- showed up on time, had a consistently positive attitude and worked hard the whole time they were here. They took excellent care of my belongings, did their very best to pack everything as compactly as possible, and explained why they packed the PODS the way they did. They were courteous, offered suggestions, and answered questions candidly. The entire crew is very professional and I recommend them without hesitation.

On moving day A-1Movers showed up on time between 8:30am-9am. About an hour into the move the supervisor said that they are going to take a smoke break. The moving crew took 3-4 smoking breaks. We were charged two extra hours for the move. My wife and I looked passed this and were pleased with their job. On October 28th, 2020 we removed our King-sized mattress from the trailer that A-1 movers packed. It was visibly squished into the trailer. We moved the mattress into our bedroom and placed it on the box frame. There was a notable hump in the mattress. The coils had punctured through the underside of the mattress top from being compressed in the trailer. I contracted A-1 Movers and talked to Curtis Sylvester. I was shocked by the way he was speaking to me. He was very unprofessional and extremely rude. I just wanted to have a conversation with him about the situation. As I started explaining the situation to him he said started off by saying “F*ck my life” then went into being very rude and aggressive towards me. He ended the conversation with him saying “go f*ck yourself”.

Mover's response:
number 1 ) my guys take a smoke break around every 2 hours on large jobs that only last about 5 minutes each instead of taking a lunch break we take smoke breaks so that we don't smoke near or around customers things ,it was a long day at this job
number 2) the mattress that we put in your personal trailer we told you was a bad idea and you insisted we put it in there and did not listen to our warning that it was tight , we also told you if you wanted in the trailer not to leave it there for long or this would happen , but again you did not listen ,and agreed to sighn our waiver that states you not not listen to our warning and choose to do what you wanted ,
number 3) you called me yelling at me swearing at me not listening to reason at all called me every name in the book before i finally lost my temper , you can not expect to talk to people like that and think your going to get away with it i don't care who you think you are , i am a fair and reasonable person and have made thousands of others very happy with our service ,so if there was a problem there was a dam good reason , so in short sir , i give you a half star for being unappreciative and entitled and as always thank you for choosing A-1 Movers

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

we always call on the day of the move , my crew comes in full uniform ,with shrink wrap ,dollies , and tools , professional, caring , polite and willing to help in anyway , we start by padding and shrink wrapping all of your furniture and making sure floors and walls are protected , and the we strategically pack everything into your pod or truck with great care and precision , making sure in the process your are completely comfortable and satisfied with our work

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

all you needd to do is make sure everything is in boxes , leave the rest to us , we will take care of the rest . our job is to make your move as easy and stress free as possible

What types of moves have you handled?

we had handled all types of moves , big ,small , we also do commercial moves , we handle unloading of 53ft trucks at Renewal by Anderson window company every week and have for the past 5 years

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

meeting new people , being able to help people and making them happy , we enjoy the personal touch we inflict on our customers ,

What training do you provide your crew members?

all of my men are trained with me personally for there first 3 months , so i can teach them the way we do things here at A-1 Movers , we are not like the rest , we put our heart and soul into every customer we move ,
