We are an affordable Ohio based moving company and our movers are fast, courteous and gentle with your belongings. We also offer packing and unpacking services. We are here to fulfill all your moving needs... We will make sure your move goes smooth as possible.. Our mover are very experienced in moving fragile items such as fine art or antiques, and large items including pianos.. We dismantle & reassembly your household items including furniture, beds etc. (Our staff supplies all tools). Upon arrival to your new home, we will place your belongings in the rooms by your request.

We moved my handicapped sister from the West side of Cincinnati to the East side. They were very professional and courteous at all times. I would hire them again without question.
Simply said, they are “good people,” and would welcome them in any of our homes. If you are the least bit nervous about hiring a mover in the greater Dayton or Cincinnati area from the internet, rest assured, the Tackett’s will put your mind at ease on arrival. They are a Small town, Family owned business with a wonderful work ethic. Considering the rates, they are fast and flexible and will do a nice job for you.
Please be kind to them on the financial side as they do pass on a portion of revenue with the Helping hand referral.

The gentlemen were on time, courteous, professional and, most of all, concerned about the safety and value of my belongings. While moving is a very stressful experience, Competitive Movers put my mind to ease and made the situation very pleasant. I would highly recommend them for any moving services.

This is not the first time I have used the Hire a Helper service. I have never given a rating of less than "Would Recommend to Others". That is until this time. It's not that they were not of immense help to me and my wife; they were. I just feel that, in comparison to previous experiences, this was not good.
We hired, two weeks in advance, two helpers for two hours that were to arrive on Saturday morning, 9/4/10, at 10:00. We received a call at about 9:30 stating that they would be 10 to 15 minutes late. No big deal. They showed up at 10:30. Again, no big deal. When they did arrive, we learned that one of them had called in sick so the other guy had asked a friend to join him. The friend was wearing flip flops (not that I am an authority on proper moving footwear), and had admittedly "never moved anyone before." This became obvious as time went on and he just kinda did a bunch of standing around and carrying small items like lamps etc.
Essentially I feel as though we got one helper when we paid for two. The problem this caused for my wife and me is that, at the end of their two hours they left, with only half the job done and my wife and I needed to pack the rest of the truck ourselves. This put us five hours behind our original scedule.
If there is any recommendation I could make, it is that there be a legitimate contingency plan in place for when someone calls in sick or cannot make it rather than bring someone with no experience along... I paid for professionals, that is not what I got.

Mr. Tackett is a great worker. He and his partner were eager to help and did so in an incredible time. Even though we told him we would take care of the small items he said that was what he was there for...to help. He and his partner finished everything in just a little over an hour. I hghly recommend Mr. Tackets firm for additional work...he is a great example of customer service. Will ask for him again when I need help in that area.

The helpers who came to our new house were terrific. Nicodemus and Michael were great; they were curteous, very careful with our possessions, walls, etc., and were patient with us.
Unfortunately, they were not told to bring the appliance and other dollies that would have made the unloading go more quickly (one of the reasons we chose Competitive Movers was because they had the equipment we would need). The helpers didn't miss a beat, hand carrying two refrigerators, a washer and dryer, etc. with no complaints -- and no problems. Though when I called our contact at Competitive Movers HQ to discuss our options without dollies, we did not receive a call back or follow-up of any kind.
