I couldn't characterize them as being super careful with the furniture, although one piece was admittedly very heavy. I noticed that a couple of boxes were crushed when they stacked heavy plastic bins on top of them. The estimated three to four hour job actually took six hours. The lead worker was excellent. His helper was late, stood around a lot, talked on the phone and wasted his time and my money. They were supposed to show up with all their tools, but didn't appear to have brought anything with them. Had they had moving straps with them, getting the heavy piece down the stairs much easier. Fortunately, two men from a local charity who were there to pick up some donations were able to help--which cost me extra money to tip the charity workers for their help. Otherwise I don't know what we would have done. It took two workers to get the piece up the stairs when we moved in, but took four to get it down when we moved out. I will admit that the Handy Helpers did an excellent job of stuffing all our furniture and things into the 17 foot pod--seriously didn't think they would be able to do it. Otherwise I would have had to rent another pod for the remaining few pieces of furniture. I'm very happy about that. The language got a little rough when fingers got caught--F-bombs Ok for me, but not good if small kids or women present. I would use them again, but have learned that they require very close supervision so they don'[t waste my money. Frankly, I think jobs such as mine really require three people. Things god a little rough toward the end of the six hours when the two workers got tired.

They worked very hard, but they didn't use enough furniture blankets. I rented 5 packs and they only used one. Had some minor damage to the furniture as a result.
Thank you for your acknowledgement of the diligent work ethics of our team. Our movers were somehow unaware of the extra packs of blanket pads that you rented. Please accept our apology that we did not purposely neglect using pads, we honestly were unaware that you possessed 4 more packs so we used what was provided; the 1 pack. Glen and Michael were outstanding, helpful and professional. They were very careful with all our items and loaded the truck to its maximum capacity taking care not to damage anything. My husband and I were very impressed. Thank you I will be using you again upon our arrival at our new destination.

Great job by Bankhead and his partner. It was an excellent move just becuae of the crew that came to my home. If I ever have to move again, I will use this agency, only if I can get the two gentelman who helped me unload all the damaged furniture due to the way he packed it. They gave me some hope and a prayer!

If you are looking for inexperienced movers who will scratch your furniture, drag dog manure through someone's home, and then disappear between locations because they claim they had a flat tire, then look no further. I have utilized several moving services in the past and this is undoubtedly the worse service I have ever received! When I complained, the management only tried to argue with me. I would not recommend Handy Dandy to anyone.
