They were on time and respectful on arrival, however as time progressed not so much. They dropped a smallish box while loading and broke my dishes an some antique plates and custard cups. The head guy shouted angrily at his helpers many times. Towards the end he was literally throwing my stuff on the truck. Heavy boxes were loaded on light boxes so many boxes were crushed and broken. I have a solid wood carved bear ( super heavy, that was thrown onto furniture. At the end, the head guy had trouble getting the plywood panel in place and kicked it for 15+ mins damaging my butcher block table that was right behind the panel. The head person had no respect for me or my possessions.

Our move into a new 100-unit building required total unloading in a 4-hour window on an assigned date. Moving from 2,000 miles away we were totally dependent on 5-Star Movers of Plymouth MN to meet this requirement.

When a customer books with 5-Star Movers, they can expect a prompt phone call to go over the details of the move, and discuss what the best options are for the customer to make the move go as smoothly as possible.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The customer should expect a crew that moves their items quickly and efficiently, while also being lighthearted and able to joke around with them and have fun on the moving day.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The customer should prepare for moving day by making sure they have plenty of ratchet straps and blankets so our team can come in and make sure all of their items are packed as securely and safely as possible. If it is a larger apartment complex, we advise that they reserve a freight elevator for use during their move.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have done all types of moves from long distance full-service jobs to California, office moves, full PODs packs, and even just moving a couch around in a house. We can do it all!
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part of being a mover is the variation in environment from day to day. Sometimes I could be working at a 8000 square foot mansion with a 6 man crew, other days I could be working at a studio apartment with one other person. Every day is truly different, and that's what makes it exciting!
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our crew members all know how to use basic tools for assembly and disassembly, they know how to use moving equipment such as dollies and shoulder straps to make the move smoother. Our experienced guys are very good at loading trucks, and show the new people how to do it so they can one day be a great loader as well. We also prioritize attention to detail and will miss out on jobs sometimes rather than ever sending a crew we don't believe is 5-Star quality.
