I plan to have them back to unload the portable storage. .Quinfo (spelling?) and Marquez (spelling?) were simply amazing. They worked well together and were extremely efficient. They finished the job in just 30 minutes when they were allotted 2 hours.

Mover's response:
Thank you. Kwaku and Martez work together often. We partner the crews based on skill and personality.

Our move was scheduled for a timeframe between 10-11am. The mover called me and asked if he could come an hour early (9am) but they showed up at 8.30. Luckily the pods arrived right before they got to our place. Both movers were nice but there was an elderly man and a young man. It was literally like the tortoise and the hare situation. The young guy was fast and did most of the work. The old man unloaded the pods but was really slow. While we understand that it was moving things into an apartment, I never saw the old man upstairs throughout the entire time except for when we first showed them the route, and at the end when he brought the head piece for the bed up and had to sit down to take a break immediately after. I ended up having to help while I was extremely sick snd they were there for 5 hours. Honestly if I didn’t help , most likely they would be there all day.

I would say speed definitely was not one of their strengths lol. Although they were really polite and nice so I felt bad. That’s how I ended up moving my own stuff from the pods (one 16ft unit) along with the other mover… because we felt bad for the older man. My wife said she went down to take a look, and after two hours, it was the exact same amount of bins still out in the parking lot as the younger guy was upstairs with me moving the rest of the stuff. My wife ended up having to do most of the furniture install herself to save time.

So ultimately we were told it’ll be done in two hours but it was completed in 5 and I ended up paying double the amount that was quoted for a total price of over $800 because it took a significant amount of time since it was more like there was only one mover plus my sick a.. trying to unload a full PODs unit into an apartment. At least we had elevators I guess lol. And they were nice… they also had their own dollies so I was able to help drag everything up.

Mover's response:
Thank you. Every review is an opportunity for us to get better. We apologize for any inconvenience.

This has been, by far, our most stresful and awful move in 14 years of military service moving around. They have been so unprofessional and caused us so much damage and hours wasted I cant even begin to explain. We have booked this service 5/30. Today is 6/23
For 23 days, I have rechecked and made sure they know to have a REAL ID when coming on military base. Arrival time was between 0700-0800. They called me 0625 that they are 10 min away. We were thinking ok perfect. 3 guys in a van, one of them has no real id. At this point, visitor center and main gate camp pendleton has to process them on. From 0635-0830 my husband was there trying to get them in, since they couldnt follow simple rule of brining a real id or 2 forms of an id. They charged us 390$ a day before ofc, for 2 hrs. 3rd guy couldnt come on at all. They finally arrive and it takes them 5-10 min just to get out of the van and take their stuff out. Dragging is an understatement.

Me and my husband packed up the whole house, filled half of 26ft uhaul and moved and organized everything for them. There were 10 pieces of furniture, 3 matress and washer and dryer. Everything else we did on our own.

They moved 6 PIECES, yes you heard that right, 6 PIECES OF FURNITURE IN 2 HOURS. They damaged our floor in 4 different areas because they dragged our furniture. Once 2 hours was up my husband told them to leave, they wanted him to sign that they arrived at 0700 and they wanted to charge us the time that it took us to get them on base,, BECAUSE THEY HAD NO IDs.

The level of stress and fatigue and horror my family has went thru, I wish on nobody. Mind you, these people knew we were military family, had nobody to help us around, and we had to be done asap and in a timely manner. They took their time and tried to use and abuse our kidness. Our cameras recorded everything. I wish I could post the videos of them moving stuff. You would think its insane.

Shantel “the manager” said in her text that she understands that they need real ids, they are always on base, no problem, she texted me start time 0830 but workers wanted signature that they started 0700. And much much more. I have never left a review like this but I felt obligated to say something after all of this.
We know for sure we wont ever see our money, they didnt do the right thing and finished loading, list goes on. She wanted us to pay her directly after those 2 hours passed. Scammers and nothing else. Shame on you all.

Mover's response:
We are not scammers. According to the policies at the company, we work with anything more than the initial invoice says we can collect the money. We are sorry that you feel that we scammed you.

The team was very unprofessional!

They were seen on camera throwing away items that I had in storage from my uncle's estate without my knowledge. These items were the last possessions that the family had in remembrance of him.

I respectively request a refund for services rendered.

Mover's response:
The team has been reprimanded for this. Nothing can replace your loss. However, you can contact HireAHelper’s with a damage claim. We apologize for this unfortunate situation. This not typical of our crews.
