They were supposed to arrive at 2. They called at 2 saying that a man got hurt and they are trying to get another person there. They would be there between 3 & 4:30. 1 Man arrived at 4:27. The other arrived at 4:50. They proceed to load our Uhaul truck and then had to remove it to "rearrange" the furniture in the truck and then did not want to put furniture on top of furniture, even though I had blankets to protect my furniture. We had already brought all boxes to storage unit (while waiting for them to arrive). Then a 5 min drive to storage unit took them 20 min. This whole job should have taken less than 2 hours. Our dining table, chairs, buffet, crib, rocking chair, bookcase. NO BEDS or boxes. Yet I still had to pay 1 hour overtime. This was overpriced to the tune of $550.00 for just the movers. I paid for the UHaul. Thoroughly disgusted! I need to move again in another 1 month....you lost a customer! I will hire movers with a truck from a reputatable moving company.
We are very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. Reviewing your file, there is documentation stating that you were physically not on site. Your daughter & her husband were on site whom were greatly pleased by our service, leaving us with an additional $50 tip. We understand the frustration of the pay is the reason for the review but it’s not because of the performance of our workers and there was no blankets provided with the loading site being on the 2nd floor and the unloading site on the 3rd floor. Reviewing the pictures the U-haul was filled with boxes, furniture, and miscellaneous belongings with no damages on either side of the load. The correct address for the unloading site was given by the on-site client with the gps stating it’s about 15 minutes away from the 1st location. Please keep in mind the form you filled out stated you would be charged a “same day fee” when requesting movers the same day. Which will automatically increases the total bill. The guys did a good job, Although they didn’t damaged anything, there was no sense of urgency. They really wanted to make sure they were done in two hours or more if they could help it. To be honest it took less than two hours to load the container, unloading should’ve been faster. Many of the items were offloaded into the garage…
I was charged for an extra half hour that was not worked. I didn’t pay attention to the time but I should have. Later I revised my phone for arrival call and a text I was sent just before they left. Arrival was at 2:37pm per phone call and departure was 2:41pm per text. I sent Ralph a message about it. I’m still waiting on a response.
We are deeply sorry to hear about your experience and any inconvenience you may have endured. Pulling your file, there is documentation that the first worker arrived 2:05pm and the second worker arrived shortly after, at 2:25pm. With our company, the time does not start until the second worker arrives at the clients destination. Our workers are trained to perform efficiently and carefully, at a timely manner to prevent any accidents as well as guaranteeing the job is done sufficiently the first time. Each job may result differently, depending on the circumstances the workers may face. For instance, if there are stairs that may include long walks or twist and turns, the job can take longer than anticipated, resulting in the job taking a little longer to complete. There is also photo documentation that was taken before and during the move that has been reviewed, in which included majority of the belongings being offloaded and transferred upstairs. Once a job is completed, only the client can close out the job via phone. It is the clients duty to revise and review the time and the satisfactory of the job that has been completed by our workers. The movers did not arrive during the provided one hour window, instead arriving about 20 minutes thereafter. However, once on site, the movers were professional, cordial, diligent, and swiftly emptied our 24 foot trailer into our home, even seamlessly working around some electric ramp issues (Red Rover truck). I would not hesitate to work with them again or recommend their services.
