This was my first time moving in 13 years. I was very unprepared for the amount of stuff I had. I also have foot and back issues and was moving from a second floor condo to a place with a steep basement. I am so glad I found We Pick Things Up and Put Them Down. I figured if the movers were half as good as the reviews say, I was in great hands.
The reviews were right. I was stressed for nothing. These guys fit so much stuff into a 20 foot box van that I don’t think we could’ve fit feather in there. But everything was perfectly packed and all of my stuff is in great condition. This felt like the move that went on forever, but the guys made it so much easier than it could’ve been.

I cannot say enough good things about We Pick Things Up and Then Put Them Down. What I thought was going to be a logistical nightmare turned into one of the smoothest moves I’ve ever experienced.
They showed up professional, efficient, and completely unfazed when we realized some of the furniture wouldn’t fit through the front door. Instead of stressing or cutting corners, they carefully disassembled the pieces, brought everything inside safely, and then reassembled it perfectly. You’d never know it had been taken apart.
They were respectful of my home, detail-oriented, and clearly take pride in what they do. Not a scratch, not a complaint — just problem-solving and hard work.
If you need movers who are strong, smart, and genuinely care about doing the job right, this is your crew. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I cannot recommend Did We Pick Things Up and Put Them Down highly enough—I truly couldn't have had a better experience! This three-man crew was the definition of professional: they arrived exactly on time, worked with incredible thoroughness, and were so personable and friendly that they actually made moving day enjoyable. A massive shout-out to Karim Savage, who is an incredible leader; his guidance ensured the team stayed longer than originally asked to make sure every single detail was perfect. They didn't damage a single item, and they went above and beyond by expertly assembling all of our beds and furniture so we could settle in immediately. If you want a respectful, hardworking, and stress-free move, do yourself a favor and hire these guys—I’ll be recommending them to everyone I know!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Customers can expect positive language on the job site, a workaround to any issues that may arise, an explanation of packing format, unwavering honesty, and that the customer will feel understood.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
If it’s part of a move, your movers can take care of it for you. You’ll work with the professional movers that you hire to figure out an exact plan and what tasks you’d like them to handle.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Keep a running list of all the little things that have to get done, put into place kid or pet arrangements early in the morning, leave out some basic cleaning supplies, and do one last walk-through.

My favorite part of being a mover is being able to help others by giving back with a skillset that is bar-none.
What training do you provide your crew members?
When a person is hired to become a professional mover, they are constantly being trained and retrained due to one of our core values which is constant improvement. All of our movers are qualified pros with considerable years of experience. We set what we like to call the "Golden Standard" for our team and expect delivery every time, no matter how big or small the job is. Training is two-part: on-the-job experience and completing a virtual orientation process with our onboarding agent.
