We pick things up and put them down were excellent, they showed up on time, went right to work. They were very careful with my grandmother's furniture, making sure any weak cabinets or dresser was secured and strapped tight before moving it. If you are in The Philadelphia area they are a must. The movers arrived on time and were very personable. Unfortunately, they ran out of time but stayed after to assist as much as possible. I would definitely use them again. The only issue I had is the billing part. I am still waiting on information on how to pay for the extra time.

We chose this company because of all the great reviews. We were left very unsatisfied and very stressed after our move. Too long of a story to tell, but we were left with our job taking over double the time, broken items, damages to our new house, and an unfinished job.

The manager attempted to rectify our issues on the surface, but only reimbursed us for a fraction of the broken items. When we spoke with hire a helper after our move, he no longer wanted to assist and stated that the issue was rectified and was washing his hands of the situation.

This is Karim Savage, the owner; I apologize on behalf of everyone at We Pick Things Up and Put Them Down. Please know that your situation was an exception. As you can see in other reviews, we are known for taking ownership and caring deeply about our customers. Our care is why I reimbursed you the total amount for the three items you mentioned before the move was even complete and offered three full hours of free labor for 5 hours of work. In our conversation on the day of the move, it seemed we had come to a solution. However, since you have decided to file a claim with Hire A Helper against us and have escalated the situation with new damages claims, we will follow Hire A Helper's procedures. So at this time, we would like to handle our communications with you properly, which is no communication unless it is through the Hire A Helper claims specialist. We can’t fix the past, but you have my personal commitment to improving the way our staff serves every customer. Until then, please accept my sincerest apologies on behalf of everyone on the team.

These guys were on time, respectful, and were able to fit everything into the cargo van I brought in 2 hours. They were positive and friendly the entire time and didn’t stop moving on a Saturday night

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

Customers can expect positive language on the job site, a workaround to any issues that may arise, an explanation of packing format, unwavering honesty, and that the customer will feel understood.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

If it’s part of a move, your movers can take care of it for you. You’ll work with the professional movers that you hire to figure out an exact plan and what tasks you’d like them to handle.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Keep a running list of all the little things that have to get done, put into place kid or pet arrangements early in the morning, leave out some basic cleaning supplies, and do one last walk-through.

What types of moves have you handled?

We've worked for much different clientele from many different backgrounds, including businesses such as - Philly Pretzel Factory, Staging Theory (NJ), and TriggerHouse.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

My favorite part of being a mover is being able to help others by giving back with a skillset that is bar-none.

What training do you provide your crew members?

When a person is hired to become a professional mover, they are constantly being trained and retrained due to one of our core values which is constant improvement. All of our movers are qualified pros with considerable years of experience. We set what we like to call the "Golden Standard" for our team and expect delivery every time, no matter how big or small the job is. Training is two-part: on-the-job experience and completing a virtual orientation process with our onboarding agent.
