The team that did the work was great! I would recommend the X Man workforce to anybody needing this service. The problem is, I paid for a four man team. Only three showed up. I was told over the phone before I signed the completion paperwork, that I would receive a refund for the shorted man. I have not received any refund nor has anyone from X Man reached out to communicate when I should expect to receive a refund.

Mover's response:
Hi! The day of service, you confirmed and submitted the payment on your end, from your phone before we had a chance to upload our paperwork stating that there was a 3 man crew on your job rather than 4. When you did this, it blocked me from uploading any further documents on the order. I called in to Porch Moving Group right away to inform them of the error/change in order status, and was told it would be taken care of.

I'm very sorry that the partial refund was not processed, but X Man Secure Movers processes neither the payments nor the refunds; we are a third party company and Porch handles all of that. I have spoken with them again today and they apologized and assured me that they will process your refund asap. Again, I am sorry that this was not handled the day of, however, we did everything we were able to from our end to try and insure that you were charged the correct amount.

Both workers for X-man Movers made sure all my requests were completed. They were very professional and respectful of our belongings. I would recommend them to anyone else.

Showed up at 4:35pm left at 5:25 pm without loading all the boxes they were told too. They Left without advising us. They told us they did a walkthrough with us and they never did, when calling the "Owner" Xavier about the boxes that were left he told me that i could load it with a dolly myself and that he would not come back as he was taking his girlfriend on a date. I let him know i paid for 2 hours and not 50 minutes, He then said "its a 2 hour minimum" ?? and laughing when i told him this is unacceptable work. I get to my destination only to find out they broke 2 of my most valuable possessions because someone decided it was ok to leave them on the floor when loading heavy couches.

Mover's response:
Hello Christian, I am the owner, Xavier, and I most certainly did do a final walkthrough with you before we ended our work. In fact, we could not have left without advising you, because you filled out and signed the completion paperwork after we did the walkthrough - this paperwork required you to mark down our start and end times for when we arrived and when we left the premises. There were 3-4 boxes that were not loaded onto your truck, but that is because you specifically told us not to load those boxes, that you wanted to double-check the contents and load them yourself the next morning. I am not sure where you're getting this nonsense about going on a date, as 1) I am very happily married, and 2) we have NEVER left a job unfinished. You did call us after the job, demanding a full refund for the entire job because of the 3-4 boxes we did not load (at your direct request), which I could not in good conscience offer you, because we completed 2 full hours of loading service. We certainly did not mean to leave out anything that you wanted on the truck, and would have loaded those final boxes if you had not told us to leave them. As for damage, you had our most experienced crew with you and I can personally attest that everything was packed into the truck neatly and tightly, every furniture item wrapped with moving blankets and plastic wrap, with almost no room for shifting. However, if you can provide photos of the damaged items, we would be more than happy to help you make a claim with our insurance company so that we can arrange proper compensation for you. I am sorry that you had a less-than-stellar experience.

These guys were the best movers I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of crews do a lot of moves for me.

They helped me out when another mover quit on me last minute and helped me fill a whole pod right in under two hours.

They kept the whole thing light and took their time to make sure everything was in my pod okay and explained to me how everything was held in place so it wouldn’t rumble around during transport.

Would definitely recommend and hire again.

We were in a jam with our move, and had to hire help at the last minute. We hired X Man movers at 2:30 pm on Saturday to unload our 26 foot rental moving truck early the next (Sunday) morning. Hiring movers over the Internet was a bit scary - we did not know what to expect.

If we could give them 10 stars, we would. They had the entire truck unloaded in just about an hour. They were very professional, respectful, friendly and courteous. They did an excellent job.

We were also very pleased with Leya, who confirmed the appointment with us and called on Sunday morning to let us know when they would arrive. We would definitely hire them again and will recommend them to friends and family.

We had several challenges with the men who came to the house. Would never recommend them or Hired Helpers to our friends or family for service. They know how much furniture we had yet came to the house and did not have enough blankets and we had to use ours! When we arrived at the new home one of them started playing basketball on our half court.
We have several dings in our furniture because they did not have enough blankets. Not very hard workers!

Hi Veronica, we are shocked that you were unhappy with the service, as you provided our team with positive feedback upon filling out the end-of-job survey. It is HireAHelper's policy that the customer is required to provide their own moving blankets and/or furniture pads - it is in the agreement you sign when you book with us. We always bring an extra stock of moving blankets to our loading jobs, but you did not want to purchase any blankets and had not purchased any in advance - instead, you instructed us to use your own household blankets and towels. Had we been handling both your load and unload services, we could have rented you the blankets for $25-50, but as you were moving out-of-state we could not offer a rental service, only purchase of blankets. Because of your refusal to provide or purchase furniture protection, our movers were forced to make due with the household blankets and towels that you provided to us. We did issue a stern disclaimer and warning that these household blankets would not be sufficient to protect your furniture, and that you should at least purchase plastic wrap ($25) to give at least a small measure of protection. I am truly sorry that your furniture was damaged, and in fact because of this review we have changed our policy to require moving blankets to be provided or purchased. We will not ever accept refusal or direction to use household items to cover furniture again.

If you’re packing yourself, please ensure all boxes are sealed, labeled, and ready to go. Set aside any moving supplies you’re providing—such as blankets, movers’ plastic wrap, or moving rubber bands—for easy access, as these allow us to secure and protect your furniture and delicate items properly. If you don’t have these on hand, call us ahead of time—we can provide them and bring everything you need on moving day.
