These guys were amazing. Super efficient, very careful loading, took all the right steps to protect our stuff. Would recommend wholeheartedly. They even credited the hour that was billed but not used, they were that quick.
They were here within their window of time and moved everything in quickly! They were understanding of the constraints with placing my POD somewhere easier to move things out of and still did a fast and awesome job. They did a great job of not tracking anything inside as well!

The three movers from Thumbs Up Moving were fantastic. They arrived on time, worked hard and displayed a welcome sense of humor. They took great care not to damage the furniture or the house and happily moved some very bulky, heavy pieces up a flight of stairs. I do not hope to move again any time soon, but if I do, I will hire Thumbs Up Moving, and I will definitely recommend them to friends.
We hired Thumbs Up Moving Labor to move our 2,000 square foot house of belongings into two 16' PODS after we sold our home. On the day of our move, two out of the four helpers we hired (including the owner Gabriel) showed up on time. He said the other two helpers we hired would arrive shortly. Gabriel and his employee got right to work after getting a "lay of the land" and discussing any special requests/needs we had. The other two helpers arrived about an hour later and jumped right in to work. They were very efficient and energetic but were also having fun the whole time. Our house was located on a sloped property with a very steep driveway and lots of stairs outside and it was a 2-story house inside so I can imagine moving our belongings out of our house was a daunting task. They also were extremely efficient at jig-sawing all of our belongings into both PODS...we were really afraid at first that not everything would fit in both PODS but miraculously it all did! My only complaint would be that they did not lay down anything to protect the floors and carpet...and it was a rainy wet day. However, it was pretty chaotic when they first showed up and they wanted to get right to work that we forgot to ask. I'm sure they would have laid down a protective layer on the floors and carpet if we had insisted they do so. We will more than likely hire them again to move us into our new house once we find one to buy and we will make sure to specifically request when they arrive (and on the phone when we book them) to protect the floors and carpet in our new home. They were very careful with all of our belongings; nothing was damaged (that we know of). They are a fair, honest company with energetic workers who are willing and able to get right to work and complete the job as it should be done in the time frame it needs to be completed. We would definitely recommend Thumbs Up Moving Labor.
They finished in a timely way and helped us get bookcases and furniture into place.
They were on time, very professional, and handled our possessions with care. I grossly under-scheduled them (should have done 4 instead of just 2 movers) but they were gracious and understanding. We made sure to tip them well!
The gentlemen who arrived at my new home were ready to get started which I appreciated as I had 3 Pods to unload. The guy, firstly, asked pertinent questions about travel throughout the house so that they could place runners in the traffic areas. As they had to move a lot of my belongings upstairs, a plastic runner was placed over the carpet and up the stairs, that worked very well. I appreciated their hard work and pleasantness. We will show up on time. Ask for a walkthrough to see what is going and what maybe isn’t. If you have a certain way you need the truck loaded, we always work with the customer in that area.
It depends on the situation. If you want us to come in and do everything such as packing all your boxes and loading it then we can definitely handle that. However, if you wanna a more quick and budget friendly move... have everything packed in boxes and ready to be moved and loaded. We also always stress getting enough blankets if you want your furniture protected properly, at least 1 pad per item, some larger items and odd shaped items require 2 or more. Shrink wrap helps to hold blankets on but tape works
We have handled almost every job imaginable. Anywhere from working at PDX moving the entire contents of an airplane hanger to moving studio apartments. Everything in between as well. Office moves, houses from 800 sq ft to 8000 sq ft. We do not offer long distance moving however.
The change in the everyday work life. Very much enjoy seeing a different part of town/state everyday and having a flexible schedule. It is also incredible how much you see get done in a such a small amount of time.
Technique, technique, technique. Always checking where you’re walking and what is around the corner or behind you that could get damaged. Prepping the house for the move. That means floor protection, protecting doors/doorways, rails on sitar’s, etc. always remind them to be conscious of what could be damaged. Customer service skills are a must if you want to work for us.
