These guys showed up promptly and got straight to work carrying a POD worth of stuff up to our house. As the movers themselves informed us, it is 77 stairs up. Quite a hike. They were slow, which is fine because I didn't want anyone to have a heart attack. My only real complaint is that the moving guys kind of *****ed and moaned about all the stairs. This was something I had included in my job description, so I didn't feel it needed so much comment - it was what they signed up for. But they made me feel so bad about the stairs by the end of the morning that I ended up tipping them all 30% - quite a bit of cash.
I would recommend these movers, although I slightly preferred the company I used last time (Johnny "B" Movers), at least in terms of attitude.

Synopsis: Scheduling Issues but good.
Originally we scheduled two workers for May 31 but then the container arrived early so we called them on May 25 to see if they could move the work date to May 29th. They agreed to come at 9 AM May 29. However, they did not show up and when we called about 10, they said that there was an error in scheduling on their part and no one would be coming. They then agreed to show up at 8:00 AM on May 30th. They arrived about 15 minutes late on May 30th, but did call us at about 7:50 AM to advise when they would arrive.
While they were emptying the container, they did a great job and were respectful of our possessions and house. They worked quickly and followed instructions. They had brought the dollies as we suggested but ended up not needing them since it was quicker to just carry the boxes and furniture by hand. Aside from the scheduling issue and timeliness, they were good.

Not only were the movers punctual, but they called me 15 minutes prior to the appointed start time. They were clean, professional and very careful handling all of the furniture and boxes. I plan to recommend Lucky Movers to everyone I know. I could not have been more pleased with the job.

Hired Lucky Movers to move my daughter. They called her to confirm order and then called her the morning of the move to let her know they were enroute.
They were on time, prepared with pads and tie-downs and even helped load items into cars that we werent putting on their truck. My daughter doesnt have the best stuff but they treated her items very carefully.
I would use Lucky Movers and HireAHelper again.

Expect us to come on time, be fully prepared and fully equipped on your moving day. We might give you a call upon our arrival to confirm the arrival time. Expect courteous and professional work by our movers.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Make sure to prepare a few moving blankets and may be a plastic bag for your matress. We will deliver the rest for your move.
What types of moves have you handled?
Currently we handle local and long distance moves going as far as 300 miles
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
It's meeting new people every day and seeing new places. Some workout is also big plus.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We train our movers to be precisly polite and respectful to the customer's household and its belongings. New members learn at first how to wrap and protect and handle the things. Maneuvering and moving large furniture skills next. We train our movers how to pack a pod or truck like playing the tetris game.
