Jennys Movers LLC is a woman-owned professional moving labor company with trusted young strong experienced crew members to load, and unload; We provide FREE shrink wrap, equipment, and tools for every job. Your furniture is placed and set up in your new home by our courteous and quality trained personnel. We do not hire drifters, vagrants or on-the-street hired help. All our Crews are background, drug checked, in uniform with employment applications and photo identifications on file. We will not send anyone to your house to meet up. Jennys Movers' crews will arrive together with a Supervisor on site. We can load/unload, pack/unpack, to and from storage units or your truck or POD. We don’t have bankers' hours so call or text 24/7 including holidays and weekends.

This is going to unfortunately be a long one. The best thing that I can say about Jenny's Movers is that they were punctual. They arrived on time at my 10am move from a storage unit to a townhouse. When I scheduled them, I had notified them there were two flights of stairs in the townhouse. Upon watching them load the truck, I figured there was a rhyme and reason to their madness, but the more I watched, the more I realized there was not. They moved without care, slow and non-methodical. I was not advised they would be wrapping my furniture, which, while it was a nice feature, meant it took more of the time that I had paid for. It took them two hours to load a 26' truck from a 10x15 storage unit. As professional movers, I would've expected significantly faster. They used half of my time loading my truck. Upon arrival at the townhouse, I succinctly advise them that I would direct the furniture, and that boxes labeled with one name went to one room, while boxes labeled with another name went to another room. These boxes were not only misplaced in rooms, but also on incorrect floors ( a lot of my boxes ended up on the main (second) floor, when my room is on the third floor. Several things were damaged either in transport or in being brought into the house.

At one point, I was told by the movers "We can't get this in without damaging something." I was appalled, but advised that we were anticipating painting the walls they stated they would have to damage, so I didn't mind if they scuffed the paint. They took this to mean they could do it with all of the heavy furniture, and I watched and listened as they seemed to throw it against the wall. I have several crushed boxes, legs on furniture scuffed or damaged, and one glass photo that was shattered that they didn't even bother to try and clean the mess.

As well, with unexpected rain, once they asked if they could stop and wait for the rain to end. I consented, knowing it shouldn't last long. It ended in about ten minutes and they carried on. A second time, they asked my roommate (not me) if they could stop, and sat in their car for over a half hour because of the rain.

I felt they had no care for my belongings, nor did they listen to my instructions. And when I tried to contact the business to voice my complaints? I was ignored. I had my mother who reached out as well and received a lengthy text back with half-excuses and no solutions. I sent another email and called, with no response after several days.

The communication is horrendous, and their movers, at least the two I received, didn't care about anything other than eventually getting the job done. I paid 574 dollars for 5 hours of moving when it should've been 4, damaged walls that will now cost extra to fix and paint, and several damaged items I either fix or live with because of their lack of care and communication.

TL;DR: Don't waste your money, please. I like supporting smaller businesses, but this is not the one to support. They overcharge for the quality of care you receive, and if you do by chance use them and have a problem, don't expect to be able to talk it out.

First off, both movers were polite and courteous. Unfortunately I dont believe they were setup for success. The temperature outside was hot, the furniture was heavy and they arrived without straps. All of these variables led to many breaks and lost time. I ended up paying for an extra hour and helped unload the furniture myself. Jenny should outfit and train her employees for success.

Mover's response:
Due to COVID 19 keeping a Crew that the govt pays $600 to $900 per week is challenging. for any business to compete with. My regular guys return this week. I had to go outside the box to find help, these two guys have 20 years exp. Failed to take a picture of items on Truck when you first open the door. Who ever packed the truck, left glass or a fragile item right at the door. Experienced movers no NOT to open the door too fast. Since then, they have been trained to slowly open that door and take pictures of anything already broken.

The two movers were awesome and fast!! They were courteous and respectful. I was disappointed, however, that the company did not reach out to me to let me know that the guys would be late getting to us due to a mix up with their schedules. They were 2 hours late.

didn't show up till two hours later and got lost. In a hurry and broke mirror on Buffet. Removed one item by mirror and didn't check to see if mirror was secured and it fell. The older man was constantly yelling at the younger about how to do things. Also grandfather clock got cracked on front glass door. no never use again.

Both gentleman just seemed unorganized, out of sync, and all over the place. There were some instances where things were physically dropped, they were moving at a snails pace to the point where 3 hours still was not enough to get the job completed. It got late enough in the evening and I was unhappy enough to stop it at the 3 hours and whatever was left in the truck was taken care of by me the next day. To not complete a job that should have at least been done in 3 hours was a disappointment.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

We are affiliated with a storage facility if you need to hold your furniture in storage and move at a later time. My Crews' will always travel together accompanied by a Supervisor.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

Followup call. Discuss move for any details not mentioned on the job request ticket. A good understanding of what you need to get done.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Try to have everything you want moved ready. If you require packing let us know.

What types of moves have you handled?

Unloading trailers, 26ft trucks, packing households, large PODS. Moving pianos and 1000 1lb's safe. Local moves save our customers money. We don't haggle on hours. My guys get paid to get the job done on time. I do believe in bonuses. I don't pay cheesy rates so I expect nothing but the best. If you can't pack, you can't move. Most companys get anybody, I don't I need my guys to knows what they are doing the first time. Its a package deal not something to do for a few hours.

What training do you provide your crew members?

Furniture lifting, listening, select team members that work well together. Learning how to properly shrink wrap, packing and turn furniture on stairs. Weight lifting to keep in shape, membership at the GYM. And a monthly training meeting to learn express ideas
