I will keep this list itemized as no one wants to hear the whole story...
1) Showed up 30 minutes late and charge me for that time.
2) Needed to stop at a gas station between the first and second location..charged me for that time
3) One of the movers was wearing slides (yes sandals)
4) I was quoted for 3 hours and 2 workers (1 bedroom appt), took them 8 hours....
5) I supplied moving blankets, saran wrap and ratchet straps....the moving blankets were not put over all the furniture and shockingly the furniture without the moving blankets had severe damage. The amount of broken things is enumerable. I had heavy duty boxes that looked like they went through the shredder. So unless the trunk tumbled down a hill, I am at a loss for words.
6) The owner or main contact didn't seem concerned about the service offering no solutions during the long day but he was very persistent and vocal about getting paid.
7) Was told they would have supplies to help move including dollys so I didn't need to rent one, they only had one...
8) One of the poor guys was working was harder than the other.

I have moved 4 times in four years, this is the WORST experience I have ever had. Lots of my antiques and irreplaceables are now just that. Disappointed that hireahelper even recommended them considering they have two reviews one that is a 5 star and one that is 1.

Mover's response:
I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review, though I’m disappointed and frankly surprised by the statements made. Your experience, as described, does not align with what actually took place, and I’d like to respectfully address each of your points to ensure accuracy and accountability on both sides.

1. Arrival Time:
Our crew arrived at 9:30 AM, which was well within the scheduled arrival window of 9:00–10:00 AM. Suggesting they were late and charged you for that time is simply inaccurate.

2. Fuel Stop:
A brief stop for gas was necessary between added locations. As stated in both our policies and HireAHelper’s terms, all time—especially travel time between multiple locations—is billable. Furthermore, the additional stops and extra truck were not part of your original order, which significantly impacted the scope of the job.

3. Footwear:
No one on my crew was wearing open-toed sandals. One mover wore athletic slides with back straps, which are secure and commonly worn during long physical shifts. That observation, while noted, did not impact the performance or safety of the job and feels unnecessarily petty.

4. Quoted Time vs Actual Time:
You were quoted by HireAHelper for a standard 1-bedroom move involving one truck at one location. What actually occurred involved two trucks, multiple stops, and a 100+ ft walk to reach the second truck. This is a completely different scope of work, which is why the job took longer. Any comparison to the original quote without acknowledging these facts is misleading.

5. Damages and Supplies:
Our crew used every moving blanket you provided. Unfortunately, you did not supply enough to cover all furniture, and we communicated that clearly during the job. You have made claims of “severe” damage and “innumerable” broken items but have not submitted any photos to us, despite being asked. Without documentation, there’s no way for us—or any company—to process or verify these claims.

6. Owner Involvement:
I personally checked in several times throughout the day. At no point did you express that you were upset or dissatisfied—in fact, you were pleasant and even thanked us for our efforts. You also tipped both movers $100 each in cash. To later claim I was “only concerned about getting paid” is unfair and contradicts your demeanor during the job.

7. Equipment:
Based on the inventory you submitted, we brought what was required—one dolly and tools. If the actual scope of the job is misrepresented or understated, that limits how well we can prepare.

8. Workload Distribution:
The crew worked hard for 8 hours across multiple trips. If one mover appeared to be working more than the other, that should have been brought up immediately so it could be addressed in real-time—not after the fact in a public review.

Finally, it’s extremely disappointing to read such a harsh public critique without ever raising these concerns with me directly—even though I was in touch the entire time. We take pride in what we do, and we go out of our way to provide fair, professional, and honest service. If you truly feel there were damages, I strongly encourage you to provide photos so we can begin the proper claims process.

We welcome honest reviews. But we also expect fairness and accuracy. Anything less not only misrepresents our company, it disrespects the hard work our team put into serving you.

Your guys were wonderful and patient with me. I changed my mind several times about the arrangement of the room, and they did not complain or seem annoyed. Before they left, they asked if there was anything to be moved. Good Job to all 3 of your Movers!!

I’m so happy and impressed with this team! They were polite, unconditionally helpful and quite frankly worked their asses off! I have 3 floors and a ton of really heavy furniture and a safe! They worked together so well. Communicating with each other so respectfully as they maneuvered through some really tough moving challenges. Thank you thank you! Would use this team again with pleasure!
