Melancon Moving And Freight Services is a family-owned and operated business, with over 21 years of experience, that provides moving labor services to load and/or unload your moving truck or POD. In addition, we also provide packing services, as well as pre and post-move cleaning of homes and apartments, for an extra charge. Our company services all of central Illinois, including; Decatur, Springfield, Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Lincoln, Clinton, Taylorville, and Mattoon. We look forward to providing you with a professional moving experience. Please Note: 1) We do charge an extra $25.00 per job/per location, for any flights of stairs past the second floor (unless there is an elevator that can be utilized). 2) Anything more than a 3-Man team requires a minimum of 72 hours notice. 3) We are unable to accept any job if we have not been able to make contact with the customer after two (2) attempts, in order to discuss the details of the move, even if our schedule is open for that particular date.

Doug and his crew were on time, worked hard, and finished ahead of the 4 hours we allotted. They were professional, friendly, polite and very helpful in placing furniture and boxes where we asked. I used "Hire a Helper" to help me move items from my 3rd floor to a storage unit and basement. I found the process very easy, the individuals that came to work for me were very courteous and hard working. They never complained about going up and down 3 flights of stairs and did not take any unnecessary breaks.
They finished the job on time and the cost was very reasonable. I would diffently use this service again!
