Established in 2012 in Oakland, California, with the belief in helping families and the community move forward. We provide , pads, packing material, and equipment. We are an insured, independent, moving company specializing in, but not limited to, residential moves. They were on time, extremely nice and fast workers. However, they didn’t use the tie down straps, didn’t securely pack my TV. I wished they had used more of the supplies I bought (moving blankets tie downs), but they made good use of the shrink wrap. Most unfortunate, I had to pull everything out and repack it.
They were extremely fast. They sent 3 men instead of 2 and finished an hour early. I was not reimbursed for the last hour I paid.

Wow!!! We would give the team 10 STARS if we could. They worked so fast and efficiently… and the ability to fit the pieces like a perfect puzzle was impressive. Very professional, respectful, and took such good care of our stuff. They were so careful with everything and did an amazing job. The movers at my house did a great job and were very friendly. My issue is with the customer service at Hire A Helper. I thought I hired 2-workers for 2-hours each. I received a phone call from Hire A Helper who said I only got a total of 2-hours (1-hour each) and I could have the workers there from 12pm-1pm or 1pm-2pm. I sent the workers home after 1-hour as a result then got a call telling me the minimum was 2-hours each and would be billed for that amount. So I got charged for a full-hour that I didn't get to use.
Once again the 2 individuals who were at my house were awesome. Hire a Helper management needs to train their customer support staff who make the phone calls.

What training do you provide your crew members?
Every Morning we provide a safety. Training meeting on how to conduct business as a mover.

We charge an extra 10% for same day requests.
Next Day Moves
We accept next day requests at our normal rates.
Refunding Unused Time
We do not refund for any unused time.
Extra Hours
We can always stay at least 1 hour over the prebooked time.
