Established in 2012 in Oakland, California, with the belief in helping families and the community move forward. We provide , pads, packing material, and equipment. We are an insured, independent, moving company specializing in, but not limited to, residential moves. They called ahead of time to say when they'd arrive and then showed up right on time. I wanted just some bulky items (couches/beds/dressers) moved and they got to it right away after pointing it out. They wrapped the items that I hadn't gotten to doing myself and then they carefully moved them out to the container. The items were arranged in the container exactly as I told them to do. So I was very happy with their service. I originally scheduled for two guys to work two hours (minimum) but four guys showed up. They were so efficient that it only took a half an hour to finish. It was also relief to be informed that there was no additional charge for the two extra guys. In the end I paid exactly what the up front estimate quoted for their service. It could not have worked out any better.

TC Family Movers were amazing! I thought they would work quickly, but had no idea how quickly! They came about 30 minutes early, which was quite a surprise! However in the end, I was glad they did so because then I had more time to prepare for the cleaners who came 3 hours later. The men were very polite and respectful. I would definitely use them again if I were in their area. The only thing that was a problem, was my misunderstanding of "Helper." In the past, movers have also put things into boxes for me, if needed. I worked very hard to get everything ready for TC Family Movers but I hadn't packed up half a book shelf, some things in the bathroom and kitchen dishes and pantry. I asked one of the men to put some binders in a box and he said that he could take them off the shelf, but due to liability, he could not put them in a box and actually pack them for me. I didn't expect this. I had actually counted on them helping me finish packing. I thought that's what HireAHelper means. But actually they only move boxes and things out to the PODS or truck. The customer has to be completely packed; which, of course, is ideal. But it didn't happen that way this time. I'm not taking off any stars for this because the movers were really good. But HireAHelper's website led me to think that if the job took more time and I needed them to do other stuff, that it would cost more; which would not have been a problem. I really needed everything out of the house so the cleaners could clean it that afternoon, as there was a walk-through with the landlord in the evening. After TC Family Movers left, I felt really confused, frustrated and abandoned. I really needed their help with packing. Perhaps it is my misunderstanding with HireAHelper. If I use HireAHelper again, I will definitely clarify this point with them.

What training do you provide your crew members?
Every Morning we provide a safety. Training meeting on how to conduct business as a mover.

We charge an extra 10% for same day requests.

We accept next day requests at our normal rates.
Refunding Unused Time
We do not refund for any unused time.
Extra Hours
We can always stay at least 1 hour over the prebooked time.
