We had a great experience using not only Hire a Helper, but particularly Elite Moving Service Co. Making the reservation was easy and the day before Elite was to arrive, they called to confirm the date/time/place/exact services needed. The cost was very reasonable for the services - this was not a full house move, just a few items. Elite showed up on time, did exactly what we requested (very quickly and taking good care of our stuff), and were on their way. We'd definitely use them again.

Movers were tired from late night job in Phoenix. Lead mover was very compromised physically and was actually looking sicker as job went on. Temperature was high but the movers basically brought in boxes left from the first order with hire a helper and put them everywhere in spots blocking toilet. Sink, cupboard, hall way. Very rough with the boxes. Head mover was sick in the bathroom and talked for a while on phone loudly. Worker was obviously struggling with the heat. He also complained that he only gets 16 an hour. The job was sloppy and left me alone with mile high stacks of boxes everywhere.
At presumed finish of job head mover struggle to get me on his phone with someone to ok payment. I am limited on the phone skills and was also suffering from the heat. I felt pushed to speak to someone and the movers left a grea deal of heavy moving for a 70 year old woman alone. Didn’t care for how fast and unorganized move was. Also should not have had to listen to movers complain. This elite group was straight from late evening job in Phoenix with no rest. Hired helpers called me at 11:30 the night before and asked if they could start move. In a thunderstorm! I think this may account for extra third charge of 525.00. Representative denied any connection with third charge.
Was resistant to see how much stress this whole move cost and then an additional 535.00 added to bill. Explained to phone person I had not authorized any amount to my knowledge. Credit card company made aware of transactions but the overall feeling was too bad for me. This is discriminatory against elderly and people who have limited skills on phone and no computer. I feel I should not have been unable to do anything to remedy this on phone today . I understand older people are targets for companies like this. I will continue to dispute payment. Cost is ridiculously high for shoddy work.

Two guys showed up at the time that was provided. I was planning on being in the truck, having to help determine where everything went, and get things packed correctly. Not necessary. I showed them all the boxes, identified those that should be placed on top, and away they went. They packed the heavy furniture and boxes up front, they blocked it in with the mattress and box springs, put the sofa and loveseat at the back. I drove from Phoenix, AZ to Dripping Springs, TX and not a single item was out of place nor was anything broke. Great job Elite Moving Service!

Two young men showed up with minimal ability to speak English and with no dollies or equipment. Luckily I was able to communicate somewhat with the minimal Spanish I could speak. I booked an early morning appointment and the appointment got pushed out to a later time twice. The workers were early for the adjusted time slot and they worked hard but we had to direct them how to move items and showed them how to use our own personal dollies. I was expecting professional experienced workers who knew how to move items properly. My husband and I ended up moving several items ourselves so items would not get broken or damaged which meant we did not need them for the full duration - (2 hrs which was the minimal time we could contract.) We needed items moved out of a moving truck into our home - labor only.
The young men were hard workers and respectful but I did not feel as though we received the quality or professional workers we thought we were paying for and would have liked to have been able to merely direct them where to move the items and not have to be so involved in showing them how to do it. If they had the right equipment they could work smarter and not harder. We had hired professional workers for the loading of the items also and that company knew how and what to do so I thought I was paying for a similar service.

The crew was on time, courteous and careful with the move. Their English was limited, but sufficient for us to be efficient. I would hire them again without hesitation.

They ripped my mattress. I called them and they said a manager will call me back which obviously was BS.

They were just n time but by no means were they prepared for the job. As movers, it’s their responsibility to bring items to make the job easier for them. I rented a dolly and was told it was on back of the truck but it wasn’t when I got home. I wasn’t going to drive 45 minutes back to Denton to get it. After being at the site for about 30 minutes, they came in asking for water. I didn’t have any so I ran to the corner store to get them a Gatorade and came back, they were sitting on the back of the uhaul truck. They were very slow and tried to avoid loading the heavy items. We had to place everything outside the door for them. After my 2 hours was up and it was time to pay, one of the guys tried to pressure me to give him more than what I paid. He told me somebody else would charge me $400-$500. Then he said maybe I can just give them cash on the side. They were very lazy workers but expected a big payout.

The 2 young men who came were amazing, professional. Took care with all of our stuff, loaded it very carefully into our trailer , nothing moved. Would totally recommend this service . Very good price as well .
