We hired two men for two hours to move items from the moving truck into a storage unit. They showed up late, had four total "workers", then the "boss" left. The movers were not careful with our items. They delayed time by moving boxes from one side of the truck to another. Often they would disappear and would be found standing inside the unit talking. Nate texted me to please text him when the workers were 30 minutes from being completed and that he would have to charge us with additional time for three workers. I told him that the agreement was for 2 men 2 hours and that was all. He returned to the job site (with flip flops on) and had to reorganize the storage unit so that all of our items would fit. The storage unit had more cubic square feet than the moving truck but the workers did not stack items on top of each other in the back of the unit. One mattress would not allow the door to close so once again the items had to be reorganized. I would not recommend this (so called) company to anyone.

They were a bit late, and were not the fastest or most efficient movers. But they were professional and eventually the job got done.

Jack of Trades were on time!! They were awesomely prepared!!! They worked very hard and breaking a sweat!! They were so very gentle with all our stuff especially the furniture. They packed them in blankets which I was very thankful!! I would use them again and I will recommend them to all my friends. Also I am going to praise them on facebook for doing such a wonderful job for us!!

I was disappointed they sent someone with no experience as a helper. He had to be told everything to do &it took longer than it should have. I've had movers before & each one could take a room. Job could have been done quicker.

All in all, I was pleased with the service provided by JoT. They were communicative, conscientious and hard working, and the two guys that Nate sent were very pleasant to work with.
I do suggest that you follow HireAHelper's recommendation and call JoT once the job has been scheduled to confirm. It's just a good idea to establish a connection with Nate right off the bat. There was a delay in their arrival time (unforeseen circumstances with their earlier job) and it was great to know I had a direct line to Nate for updates.
There was some slight damage to one of my furniture items. One of the guys was moving a very heavy item on his own with a hand truck. He caught the furniture pad in the wheels of the hand truck, bringing the item down hard on one edge. Things just happen and that's how it is, but this was frustrating because I had pointed out that the furniture pad hanging in front of the wheels as he got underway. He was appropriately apologetic, but I still have a damaged sideboard.
That said, I would definitely use Jack of Trades again. They do good work at a good price.
